South African DJ/Producer Mpho.wav translates "Tourment d'Amour" through the hypnotic vernacular of Afro-techno. Combining instinctive drumming and percussion with driving basslines, and immersive electronic soundscapes, Mpho.wav's Afrotech remix creates a dynamic groove and a vibrant interaction between past and present, intuition and trance. In his reinterpretation, MoBlack infuses the enigmatic essence of Amapiano into "Tourment d'Amour." Poignant melodies, the heartbeat of Amapiano, delve into the core of human longing, while seductive synths, soulful vocal cuts, and ethereal pads evoke waves of nostalgic introspection. Cameron Jack & Roccin Moroccin, Meloko & Selim Sivade, Touzani and Kintar, all make their MIDH debut, making their statements on what good electronic music is. 

Ni Leo is the birthchild of Cameron Jack & Roccin Moroccin. After their remarkable releases on Abracadabra & Get Physical, the two producers team up for a deep and mellow piano track that will leave its mark when played at the right time. 
Selim Sivade & Meloko, the two French producers known for their Azzur imprint and an impressive streak of releases, came up with “See You”, a house track with pop soul, already supported by on many dance floors around the world. 
Touzani’s sound has been established with releases on Sol Selectas and Go Deeva, mixing electronic sounds with traditional elements. With Alhambra, he once again proves he is an exceptional mood-setter! 
Last but definitely not least, Kintar has remade 2022’s standout track, “Midnight Paradise” by Julien Hess & Sandhaus, fitting it to the club sounds of 2023.

Collectively our members are from Nigeria, Benin, The United States, Congo Germany, Senegal and Ethiopia. We are heavily inspired by African House music, and equality, diversity and social justice is at the core of our identity.

We strive to create spaces where people can feel safe to express themselves, no matter their ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or social status. 

We aim to distill and deliver some of the core tenets of African music, namely dance and emotion, to provide some color and warmth in Berlin’s harsh grayscale palette. 

Here at RISE we aim to take HOUSE and TECHNO off the beaten path.
