Presenting a sleek and modern take on the Afro Tech sound, these two dance floor detonators were staples of Hyenah and Ghedi’s sets throughout the last year, prompting the Bad Bunny of Afro House, Bun Xapa, to jump on a remix of ‘Now You See Me’ as soon as he heard it. As expected, imbuing the track with his inimitable drum and bass heavy sound. Making an already dangerous track even more deadly! Play loud!

We are RISE, a Berlin based collective and label with cosmopolitan roots. Our members are Hyenah, Walter Griot, GHEDI, Jane Ryse and Ukai  Collectively our members are from Nigeria, Angola, Congo, Germany, Senegal and Ethiopia. We are heavily inspired by African House music, and equality, diversity and social justice is at the core of our identity.

We strive to create spaces where people can feel safe to express themselves, no matter their ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or social status. 

We aim to distill and deliver some of the core tenets of African music, namely dance and emotion, to provide some color and warmth in Berlin’s harsh grayscale palette. 

Here at RISE we aim to take HOUSE and TECHNO off the beaten path.
