Midwestern promoter and DJ, Cookin', was first influenced by the sounds of the Detroit area in the early 2000's. During his time in college in Kalamazoo, he started his own promotion company Party Hard Inc, which still produces weekly nights and events around the local college bar area. 
      
      He is currently co-owner of Layer Cake Presents, the premier booking and electronic music promoters of the West Michigan area for the past seven years. With artists ranging from Christian Martin to Soul Clap, Cookin' and Layer Cake have combined the avant-garde electronic sounds with the House music sound they love and firmly believe in. During this time Cookin' has shared the stage with the likes of J.Phlip, Shiba San, Kill Frenzy, Sacha Robotti, Ardalan, and AC Slater, to name a few, at sold-out events in Kalamazoo and Detroit.
      
      Cookin' has developed a sound heavily influenced by the "underground" heard all over the world, as well as by contemporary House music. This makes a fresh and energizing act that captures and is derived from the vivacity of the crowd. Cookin' claims that: "House is a universal language, understood by people all over the world."
