Rita Ribeiro

Portuguese-born and raised, Rita Ribeiro discovered her passion for music at an early age, starting to play the violin at just five years old alongside her father. From there, her curiosity and dedication evolved into a lifelong relationship with sound.

A self-taught DJ with a unique approach to mixing, Rita gained recognition after winning the 2004 Heineken Thirst Deejay Contest — a milestone that propelled her onto the Portuguese underground house scene and soon after to international stages.

Over the years, Rita has performed across diverse venues and festivals, earning respect for her distinctive style, technical precision, and ability to connect with audiences.

In 2012, she was appointed UAE Ambassador for PUMA Middle East, a role that further highlighted her influence as both an artist and cultural figure.
