Birds of feather flock together: Both members of Kollektiv Ost originally come from the land of the thousand lakes, the North-Eastern German state of Mecklenburg. Creating partys since 2003 and already introduced to the Ritter Butzke Studio family they now deliver their first solo EP on our label.
The main track Actitube comes with a pushing synth stab line, leads in a lush break that peaks in a drop with a huge complementing bass melody. The Great Beyond catches with a straight four to the floor kick- and snare-groove combined with spherical atmospheres and drone pads. Unreal is a experimental journey with a big beat groove and wicked soundscapes, arps and vocal stabs.

Swiss artist @philipport drops a new release on Suleiman following his prior releases on high-flying imprints ranging from Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records to Fabric and Get Physical. The two stripped back and melodic originals are also accompanied by remixes from Inxec and @robbabicz, who each put their own stamp on the EP.

“Humans Like Us” opens up the release with tribal percussion rhythms and the building tension of epic synth pads, but it’s the inspirational vocal monologue that gives the track its charismatic personality. First to step up on remix duty is Robert Babicz, whose rework of "Humans Like Us" takes a deeper more atmospheric approach with stripped back percussion allowing for the synths to become the main focus of this cosmic version. There is nothing more difficult in life, than losing someone you care about. While mourning, it is often the good memories of sunny days and long laughs that bring back a smile on your face and heals the heartache.

When Heinz Music labelboss Marcus Meinhardt lost his close friend Josef Bonfa earlier this year, he used these memories to work through his sorrow in a creative way. The result can now be heard in his new track, dedicated to Josef. It is an emotional ride that invites the listeners to dream and remember. Melancholic synths transform over the course of the track towards a heartfelt and warm direction with soft percussions and playful overtones, reminiscing of long nights and early mornings together with friends.

R.I.P. Josef.
