Even if it’s just the second time, it feels like a tradition of ours to release a remix collection of our „Lost“ compilation. Last year in October we had our 6 year club anniversary and for this reason our residents and label artists DJ Aroma, Iorie, Kuriose Naturale, Madmotormiquel, Mario Aureo & Manuel Moreno and Patryk Molinari delivered six outstanding original tracks. Now, half a year later, it’s time for some fresh interpretations. We’ve asked our friends Soukie & Windish, Sebo, Gunjah & Niconé, Spieltape and Tim Engelhardt for this task and even our label head Mario Aureo couldn’t resist the chance to put his hands on a track. We think that all these names already speak for themselves so now it’s your turn to give these amazing works a listen. We are proud to start the new year with such an eclectic release but we also promise that this won’t be the end of the story in 2016!

‘Koma Kobache’ from our friend Djuma Soundsystem with Westerby is back with remixes from Sascha Braemer and Ost & Kjex, along with a fresh original ‘Duende’. 
First we’re treated to the beauty and power of the original. A real mountain of a track, building itself and flexing with the right muscles. 
Ost & Kjex give the track lighter tech-house groove, while pitching and screwing the vocals to great effect. Midway through they step up the pressure and take us for a ride. 
Sascha Braemer throws down a gritty sequence and a bigger groove - while building a melodic ambience with a definite drive. Sascha opts out of the vocal keeping things simple and on track to create a solid dancefloor filler.  
Finally, Djuma Soundsystem vs Bongo & Pusk - Duende. The track is a wonderfully catchy tech house number with a brilliant air of experimentalism that brings the track an irresistible vibe.

For ATL014 we head to the sprawling sunny metropolis of LA as talented duo Speaking In Tongues mastermind a stunning 3 tracker, assisted via Buenos Aires with a remix courtesy of Santiago Garcia.

Speaking In Tongues have greated something truly special with ‘Passenger’ drawing you in from the first bar through a focused 4/4 groove and deep edgey undercurrent, giving a sense the music can erupt at any point. Focus is drawn to the vocal as the intermittent cry of ‘Pasajeros’ meets crashing resonating percussive beats. The dancefloor moment is sustained by a deep overhead bass bombardment and hypnotic groove that will have you hitting the loop button for repeat plays.

Santiago Garcia provides a dramatic remix, pitching the bpm down to focus on the percussive tribal elements and melodies, letting the stunning ‘Passenger’ vocals shimmer and take over while giving listeners a a real sense of space.

Uplifting closer ‘Twenty Nine Palms’ transports listeners to a far off mystic land as Speaking In Tongues weave their sonic patterns through swathes of tasteful analogue sounds, revererating vox and undulating bass over crisp hats.

Label boss BOg has been using these as his secret weapons for the past few months, but at ATLANT we feel that sharing is caring. So now you can enjoy too.


SPEAKING IN TONGUES
Speaking In Tongues are Los Angeles House & Techno duo, Miguel Angel & Philip Anthony. The pair have released music on their own label ‘Eternal Order’ plus the likes of Motek, Clouds Above and Chilli Mint.

The recent Speaking In Tongues remix of Kauf featured on Kolsch’s BBC Radio One Residency, and originals like ‘Hear Me’ featuring Cari Golden have had live plays from Damian Lazarus, Sasha, Lee Van Dowski, Hernan Cattaneo and BOg.
