Young Ukrainian producer “Cuprite” gives his debut on Ritter Butzke Studio with “Matthar” and “Mora”.

Slowly building up the track with deep vocal stabs and soon letting the catchy melody sequence turn up “Matthar” immediately appears as a handy track that gains complexity more and more the longer it plays. The vocal gets extrapolated and increasingly more rhythmic variations are added until finally even the bass starts to swing in prosodic turbulence.

“Mora” picks up this approach but starts in a much more driving way. Gliding basses and also garnished with emotional vocals this track keeps itself restrained yet energetic.

Also Ukrainian artist “Arude” delivers a remix that enhances the rhythmic complexity of “Matthar” with intricate arpeggiator play. Peaking in the break with an upward, screaming melody the tension of this remix is build up until released in a relieving drop.

The career of Ali Shirazinia, who has been innovating dance music under the name Dubfire for decades, proves that any artist can remain fresh and relevant through many phases of a given genre. The lead single off his ‘Lotus' EP is a pristine example as to why. 

This track sees Shirazinia explore a much more progressive, melodic sound than is his usual fare. What's more is he collaborated with a fellow legend, Carl Craig, in producing it. This release will be his first on Damian Lazarus’s Crosstown Rebels, after a well-documented friendship that goes back years.

Premiere: Super Flu – Spacehip [Monaberry]

The label 'Hey, location!' expands the boundaries of international musical relations. The line-up of artists was joined by Den Maar and The Blockchain from Ukraine with the track Path Distance. In addition to the original and dub versions, the release was supplemented with remixes from HIGHLITE, Helen&Boys , mr.Basic and Two Are.

A little while ago we launched a project to help up-and-coming producers to keep their mind occupied to get through the lockdown a little easier and the result of it exceeded our expectations.
We are proud to present you an outcome of this adventure - an EP with tracks from three producers from across the globe who easily translated their passion into a magnetic sound. They take you on a melodic ride through 3 beautifully crafted tracks that transport you to a deeper place, be that through your headphones or on the dancefloor. Atmospheric melodies, catchy leads, driving rhythms, spiraling hooks and alluring textures - this has something for everyone, something that may help illuminate the path in the darkness (which is what this project was about all along).
