PIEM - Disco Mordisco [HouseU]

German deep house artist Eppers is far from prolific (you must head back to April '22 and his spell-binding collab with Kevin McKay and Notelle - On My Own) for his last outing on GU. He is, however, the kind of artist who, when he delivers the goods, really delivers. "In My Dreams" is another stand-out slow-burning jam with a wicked bass hook, clever chord play and a deliciously hypnotic vocal. It's giving us mid-90s Strictly Rhythm vibes with a touch of 2025 breakbeat energy. Perfect for summer DJ sets.

It’s been almost a year since we’ve had Rouen-based Deep House don Discosteps on the label. Over the years he’s delivered some bona fide slow-burning jams for us. Always, in the background, Kevin McKay has been helping on production. This time, the pair have decided to shake things up and come with a proper collaboration. “Only You” mixes the sweet soul vocals of Discosteps classics like “What Kind Of Love” with Kevin’s sultry house groove (think “Tom’s Diner”).
