Greatest Hits ... This Week, Vol. 30

Beauty has nothing to do with compatibility, and desire has nothing to do with love. 

Many of you out there are going to need to learn how to identify those things, so that you can teach them to your own children, in the future. It just might save the world someday, or at the very least, the world might become a nicer place because of such lessons. 

I didn’t necessarily love everything I desired. In fact, I have actually loved quite few of the things that I have desperately wanted. I think that happens because we must first obtain what we have longed for in order to figure out what exactly it is. 

Think about that. How else could you solve: Rubik’s Cube, if you have never held it in your hands, and played with it? You wouldn’t because it’s impossible. Sure, you may know the formulas to do so, but until you hold it in your hands and solve it, or give up solving it—you have done, nothing. 

I can say that I have desired something, and never loved it. I can say that it was incapable of being loved by me because it never desired me. 

I can say that beauty is extremely desirable, to me, but that love still remains—elusive, and that: "complete compatibility," remains a myth.

This indelible record from Satin Jackets comes with a genre-crushing remix from Portuguese native and Munich-based Moullinex, one of the founders of Discotexas, familiar for stellar remixes of RAC and Röyksopp & Robyn. The package is completed by a stripped back dub version by German producer Larse, renowned for work on Defected and Noir.

Sitting on a rough recording for a couple of months, it wasn't till Sam showed a friend that it started to become what it is today.
