Even The Strong

Mwizi is a collaboration between Nabalayo – an artist, producer and vocalist from Nairobi, Kenya – and Even The Strong label founder NKC. The release combines Nabalayo’s arresting vocal harmonies and flowing melodies, which draw influence from Kenyan folk music, as well as Bjork, Kelela and Tiwa Savage, with NKC’s broken rhythms, choppy sampling and pulp FX.

He has toured worldwide & worked with some of the biggest A-list casts from across the board of dance music & rap like  Basement Jaxx, KAYTRANADA, Duck Sauce, Tiga, Rustie, Pusha T, Lil Wayne, Todd Terry, Nick Hook, Todd Edwards, DJ Sliink, Ryan Hemsworth, Feadz, TT The Artist, Crookers & many more. 

He co-founded the infamous MOVELTRAXX imprint when he was 16 but also released on other prestigious labels like OWSLA, Fool's Gold, LuckyMe, Ed Banger, Nervous, Ninja Tune or Local Action. Now based in London, he’s currently finishing his debut album to be released in 2021.
