I just recently bought a Schecter Hellraiser C-1 after wanting one for most of my life, as I was testing out the tones I came up with the intro riff and decided to record it and play around with it. This is what it eventually evolved into.

This song is the result of me finally being able to purchase a Schecter Hellraiser C-1 after wanting one forever and wanting to write something to test it out. (The first minute of the song was recorded using the old Schecter since it was before I had the new one.)

The guitars were recorded using Guitar Rig and I used Reason for mixing and sampling bass and drums.

     My friends and I watched the newest season of Attack on Titan and loved this intro, so we decided to get together and learn it/jam with it. One thing led to another and I decided to take a shot at making my own cover of it. Most of my tracks are instrumental, so I figured it was a good opportunity to work with recording/mixing vocals as well.

Usually, my attempts at making "synth-heavy" music devolve into me tweaking synthesizer settings for hours and hours before I finally run out of steam and give up, so I'm pleasantly surprised with how this one turned out and hope that this means I can create more in this style going forward. (Not that I really know what genre this would be considered. Of course my two favorite types of music are the ones with the most sub-genres -_-)

The intro/Rhythm guitars were recorded using my Schecter Hellraiser with custom samples used for the bass and drums. For the synth I made a custom patch on Reason's "Thor" synthesizer and I also used Reason for sequencing and mixing (as usual).

This is another video game tune I've wanted to cover for quite a while, and thankfully I got the motivation recently after watching a buddy stream the game and this level.

My original intent was to adapt the song to guitar only, but lately I've really enjoyed mixing in synths along with guitars and experimenting with different sounds. 

The guitar tracks were recorded using my Schecter Hellraiser, with samples used for the bass, drums, and keys and custom patches for the synths. Tracked and mixed in Reason.

I was messing around with some synth sounds I enjoyed and ended up putting this together by the end.  I may try and make more ambient style tracks like this later on.
