This is my supporting set for Joris Voorn on his Spectrum North American tour -- I had the honor and pleasure to kickoff the musical offerings on the very first event of the tour in Chicago.  

Despite an injury, feeling pretty off-center, and no opportunity to musically prepare for this set, I showed up and just did the best I could.  And you know what?  It was totally worth it.  It felt great -- not perfect by any means, but felt great nonetheless.  What I played was well-received by those in attendance, and most importantly by Joris, who had a nice thing or two to say about things when I was done.  This set will always stand out in my memory for many reasons, and I couldn't be happier to share this set with you all.

Ah, Miami...  Hello again, old friend.  We've got some real history together over all these years, don't we?  It's time to head down to warmer climates for a few days of music, and in keeping with tradition, I'm putting up my annual Miami Music Week showcase mix.  I love making this mix, because it's a great time of year to check-in with what music is really moving me presently, what music has become a favorite of mine over the last 6-8 months, what selections of my own work and my label's work I want to showcase, and what new and exciting tunes I want to share with the world.  It's a beautiful exercise in curation and putting together a complex puzzle with seemingly-infinite outcomes.

I'll let the music and tracklist (below) speak for itself, but I'm pretty happy and proud to share this annual project with you all.  And also keeping with tradition, I've stayed up super late the night before heading to Miami and arriving with a bit of an unrested handicap, but it's never stopped me before, and I don't see that hindering me this year either. With nearly 25 years of DJ experience and tirelessly pursuing the perfect mix of deep, progressive, techno, and house sounds.  He rocks venues ranging from intimate to huge, and can go from being the headliner himself to being the supporting act of choice for countless global headliners on the best club and festival events the Windy City has to offer.  RJ is also a principal collaborator in a recently-launched and acclaimed music act called Portals & Parachutes, taking first flight in post-pandemic 2021.
