"Waiting..." is an excellent accessible piece for developing concert band (grade 2.5 - 3) with level appropriate instrumentation, ranges and rhythms.The work starts with a simple melody over a clock-ticking effect and gradually progresses toward a more intense section, to end with  a cozy, intimate feel. Careless Love

"Shared Solitude" music: Réjean Marois - performed by Ingrid Chiang on bassoon-piano-footwork. This solo piece is about « being alone without a sense of loneliness… » It is written for a bassoonist who is also a pianist and do some footwork. The piece has three sections: the first one is built on a strong dance rhythm where the soloist invites the audience to move along with her.The second section is a short introspective blues, followed by an energetic theme with variations that leads to a conclusive short cadenza.
