Roam Recordings proudly announces its latest release, marking the debut of Brazilian-born, Berlin-based producer Rotciv on the label. Known for his sophisticated blend of analog warmth and dancefloor energy, Rotciv delivers a stunning three-track EP that showcases his distinctive sound and hypnotic production style.

The release opens with the title track “Sync-Danse”, a spellbinding journey of layered synths and pulsating rhythms. This hypnotic and driving tune immerses listeners with its magnetic groove, making it a standout opener destined for late-night dancefloors.

“Wingspan” follows with a breezy, synth-laden breakbeat. Effortlessly blending atmospheric textures and rhythmic precision, it’s a nod to both classic and contemporary electronic sounds, inviting movement and introspection alike.

Closing the EP is “Stride,” a psychedelic masterpiece that channels the spirit of the ‘90s. Swirling melodies and lush pads weave through evolving harmonies, offering a deeply emotive and transportive experience.

Anchored by Jason Peters’ own vocals, the song plays like a modern rave ballad, echoing the sentiment: "I remember when we used to watch the sunrise."

The release is rounded out by two standout remixes that complement the original while offering distinct perspectives. Longtime Roam collaborator Fabrizio Mammarella delivers a high-energy rework, amplifying the track with vibrant synth work and reshaping it into a focused, dancefloor-ready jam. Named after Nevada’s mysterious Route 375 — a highway known for its endless desert, mirages, and otherworldly energy — this EP captures the feeling of driving through the unknown. The sound is inspired by the raw freedom of Burning Man desert parties and by distinctive artists like Rebolledo, blending hypnotic rhythms with dusty, analog textures.

Drawing from Los Angeles’ fashion and rock culture, NEVADA 375 also pays tribute to the city’s darker, electric pulse. Chromo channels the rebellious spirit of Chrome Hearts and the raw energy of Beastie Boys, fusing distorted guitars.

Meanwhile, Motor Disco takes us back to the 1980s — a fusion of retro disco pads and dark rock riffs, built around a mechanical rhythm that feels both nostalgic and futuristic. It’s disco with an engine, moving fast through the night.

Keep Me In The Light - Kowloon Kombucha

Up and coming Mexican artist Ademarr joins Roam Recordings with two originals to form the Cannibal EP. The title track combines guitars, echoes of voices, and dark stylish electronic rhythms into a driving dance floor mover. To The West is an aptly named tune that weaves live bass, guitar twangs, and harmonica into a futuristic Western soundscape. Up first on remix duty is Zombies in Miami that take Cannibal deeper into hypnotic territory with the expert dance floor touch of their live shows. Javi Redondo takes To The West into more chilled out territory with arped out synthesizers and congas perfect for an epic daytime jam session.

Following their excellent Urgent Turquoise release for Om Recordings, the eclectic and ambitious San Francisco duo Tone of Arc have contributed their evocative sound to Roam Recordings’ second offering of 2016. Tone of Arc are comprised of Derrick Boyd (previously recording under the name Dead Seal) and Zoe Presnick … through well-received releases for the likes of No. 19 Music, Om Records, and Touch Of Class Records the pair have transmitted a series of moody electronic compositions that draw as much inspiration from cerebral post-punk gigs as sweaty, visceral dance floors. 

“Sundust” opens the single with its methodical tempo and haunting soundscapes, electrified by Derrick’s pensive words. The cut unfolds like a dream as layers of synths and vocal snippets build and vibrate throughout. “The Indigent” is a more stripped-down affair. A straight-forward four-on-the-floor rhythm, accented by big tom fills, creates the space for backwards pads and hinted melodies. It’s a mechanical meditation. Barcelona-based producer Lokier (HAKT, Days Of Being Wild) is also on hand for a haunting remix of “Sundust” that adds a commanding bass line and puts a spotlight on the vocal. Its steady forward motion is hypnotic in effect, intensifying the brain-to-feet aspect of Tone of Arc’s music.

Roam Recordings’ latest instalment features long time label friends 40 Thieves – known for previous releases on the likes of Permanent Vacation, Leng, and Rong Records – and their excellent redux of Squeeze’s 1978 classic “Take Me I’m Yours”. The combo’s take on this proto-new wave gem renders the tune as spacier and yet more dance floor focused, with the sultry voice of Nina Lares supplying the captivating hook. The result is as slinky as can be, with a hypnotic four-on-the-floor providing the anchor for layers of lush pads and keys as Nina sings the spine-shivering melody. 

“Way back in 2014 on a rough stormy day, we found ourselves playing the baseline and leads along to the original version (by Squeeze) in the background and ultimately recorded midi for the entire thing. We built a new drum and rhythm track and ran the midi through some synths. The lovely and multi-talented chanteuse, Nina Lares, who has been recording with us for years and is long overdue for a release with us, graciously took on the song and re-interpreted the melodies and style in her own way. The result is laid back, natural, hypnotic. You know.. how we prefer pretty much everything. Did our best to keep the track sparse, to the point, focused on Nina, and take you somewhere else for a while. On remix we duty is was a call to some existing friends, new names and old to the initiated world of weirdo music.” - 40 Thieves, 2016

The first remix is a hearty chugger from Tronik Youth (Nein Records). The drums are given a bit more bite, riding a pulsing synth line while the vocals are eerily dubbed in and out. Next up Simon Peter (Claremont 56, Silhouette Music) shows his mastery of the live bass guitar which is front and center of his smoothed out balearic take on the tune. Bright chords and hand percussion make this one special for hazed-out moments. San Francisco up-and-comer Praus rounds out the package with a languid psychedelic version that recalls Massive Attack with its moody grittiness and dubby tendencies.

40 Thieves Feat. Nina Lares - Take Me I'm Yours (Original Mix)

Nein Records label boss Tronik Youth aka Neil Parnell debuts on Roam Recordings with his new EP Tunnel of Hate. Over the years Tronik Youth has made an indelible mark in dance music through his many and varied outstanding productions, his seminal monthly radio show, and his prolific record label.

The Tunnel of Hate EP showcases two original offerings from the artist. The title track starts the collection with 80s tinged industrial disco while Insecticide blasts of post apocalyptic electro punk.

The EP also comes with three excellent and diverse remixes. Mexican producer Rigopolar, known for his stunning productions on labels such as Tom Tom Disco and Spa in Disco, takes on Tunnel of Hate and remixes it into an epic dark disco number that begs for smoke machines and lasers. The second remix comes from none other than legendary dance music innovator The Hacker who's superb remix could just as easily be played in an 80s industrial set as with modern dark wave. Rounding out the EP is a remix from Australian duo Stockholm Syndrome who add a stylish new beat flavor to the mix that is both provocative and easy to slip into.

All mixes on this EP combine into a cohesive dark, disco, industrial, new beat infused offering perfect for smoky warehouse parties, dim lit after parties, and edgy late night affairs.

The latest addition of Roam Recordings offers three stunning remixes of Berlin based 80s New Wave inspired band Pardon Moi. Following the success of their singles “Addiction” on Emerald & Doreen Recordings and “Inside the Outside” on Nein (which has been featured on BBC Radio) the Berlin duo Pardon Moi consisting of Thomas Freudenthal and James Brook have penned the evocative “Power to the People” along with “Touch2Much” which have been released in original form on 7” vinyl from Hoga Records. In the “Power to the People Remixes” EP, Roam Recordings has gathered together a dream team of top remixers - Damon Jee, Markus Gibb, and Curses - who each put their own spin on the originals. Damon Jee starts it out with an an energetic and anthemic version of Power to the People that’s sure to get people on their feet. Markus Gibb moves Power to the People into slightly darker and heavier territory with exquisite production that has become his trademark. Switching gears, Curses takes on Touch2Much and keeps the 80s vibe alive with a stylish upbeat dub that’s both quirky and fun.

All three of these remixes come together in an action packed trio of tracks that will surely be a go to when looking to get the dance floor movin’.

The latest installment on Roam Recordings comes from Mexican artist Theus Mago (aka Bufi). After a slew of astonishing releases on on seminal labels Correspondent, Turbo, Kill The DJ, La Dame Noir, and DURO Theus Mago brings his characteristic excellent production to Roam with a psychedelic dance floor banger known as the Erotic Polymorphic Experience.

The EP features three top remixes from the likes of Brioski, Jamie Paton, and Cabizbajo. Jamie Paton is up first bringing a grinding version with spattering vocals and snare treatments that make this remix move. Brioski is up next with a blissfully dark and heady version that creeps and crawls around a hypnotic soundscape. Cabizbajo brings the tempo back up to round out the EP with a driving rhythm and bass underpinning the decedent vocal from the original.

With four well crafted and diverse mixes the Erotic Polymorphic Experience is fine way to kick of the new year.

Roam Recordings welcomes Barcelona artist Undo back to the fold with his superbly crafted and moving Bird Without Wings EP. The title track is a thoughtful and provocative work of blissful electronics complimented by the slightly darker 80s influenced Espacio Sideral.

The EP is backed by two excellent remixes from Roam alumni Curses and Rigopolar. After his huge remix of Tronik Youth's Tunnel of Hate Rigopolar returns to give Bird Without Wings a mesmerizing shoe gazing remix perfect for melting into outer space. Rounding out the EP is the always impeccable Curses who mixes rock, 80s, and XTC into a heavy and beautiful take on Espacio Sideral.

Italian producer Dino Lenny is the Fine Human Records label head who has been making music since the 90s. He's remixed huge names like Missy Elliott and Timbaland and has been collaborating with everyone from Madonna to Wu Tang Clan to Seth Troxler & Dixon. He has been named "A wizard of electronic music" by the Chemical Brothers, played live with Underworld, released music on the likes of Innervisions, Diynamic & Correspondant, and is currently signed to Ellum. 

For his debut release on Roam Recordings Lenny delivers a stunning EP titled 'Tokyo'. The original mix showcases Lenny's original vocals woven into a dance balad that could easily fit into a classic set of 80s electronica. The Black Mami remix strips down the original vocal with a hypnotic rendition beating with pulsating arpeggios. Long time Roam alumni Damon Jee returns to deliver a huge remix that elegantly bangs out the original melodies and stylish electronics of the original.

French DJ/producer Darlyn Vlys delivers a stunning new EP of indie disco for the latest installment on Roam Recordings. With an excellent catalogue of releases on labels such as Get Physical, My Favorite Robot, Sincopat, and recently with the huge success of Runner on Polymath and Horse on Atlant, Darlyn Vlys has become a sought after artist on the rise. For his EP on Roam, Darlyn Vlys offers two new original works. The title track - Bladed - sets the mood with stylish vocals and guitar stabs that hit all the right places. Neo Noir brings the tempo up while keeping the lush soundscape found throughout the EP.  Backing up the originals are two incredible and diverse remixes by Kiwi and Pardon Moi. Kiwi moves Neo Noir in a smooth dreamy direction while Pardon Moi remakes Bladed into full on 80s Italo anthem.

Mr BC, aka Bob Salmond, returns to Roam with three new originals to form the Chicken Skin Suit EP. The Scottish artist opens up the EP with the title track that hints at early 80s dance with its off kilter arp bass under ethereal strings punctuated by spatters of electro toms. Lithuanian producer, Roam alumni, and prolific rising star Zakmina accentuates this early 80s vibe with his dark and deftly crafted remix. Adding diversity to the sound of the EP, Mr BC is joined by Lloyd Longchamp to create a smooth summer vibe with warm psychedelic overtones in the blissful track Evil Presidents. Within the same laid-back vibe Mr BC rounds out the EP with sweet electronic melodies in his solo work Hurts (But It's Worth It).

Spanish producer, Logic Records label boss, and Roam Recordings alumni Javier Busto teams up with Mufti aka Bernardo Barrera (½ of Los Fugazzi) to deliver the Dosis EP. The release comes with two original versions and two remixes. The first version by Javier Busto is a driving track with rhythmic synth and arp work underpinning Mufti's sultry voice. The second version is from Mufti himself who adds guitars and a bit of grit. Up first on the remix is Azaria who returns to Roam to bring an epic summertime remix of the original. Rounding out the EP is a stripped down beat heavy version from Roam Recordings boss Jason Peters.
