French DJ/producer Darlyn Vlys delivers a stunning new EP of indie disco for the latest installment on Roam Recordings. With an excellent catalogue of releases on labels such as Get Physical, My Favorite Robot, Sincopat, and recently with the huge success of Runner on Polymath and Horse on Atlant, Darlyn Vlys has become a sought after artist on the rise. For his EP on Roam, Darlyn Vlys offers two new original works. The title track - Bladed - sets the mood with stylish vocals and guitar stabs that hit all the right places. Neo Noir brings the tempo up while keeping the lush soundscape found throughout the EP.

Backing up the originals are two incredible and diverse remixes by Kiwi and Pardon Moi. Kiwi moves Neo Noir in a smooth dreamy direction while Pardon Moi remakes Bladed into full on 80s italo anthem.

Hot off the heels of Aluxes, his 2018 @LumiereNoireRecords debut EP,  Mexican DJ/producer @InigoVontier takes Chloé's label on a trip to the far corners of the body and mind with an album of demented grooves, psychedelic take-offs and imaginary comic strips of mystical rituals.

In the Jalisco native’s own words  "this album best reflects my own vision and spirituality, and the way I feel it". Whether contemplative or frenetic, the collection of tracks that make up El Hijo Del Maiz takes the kitchen sink and throws it out the window: languid rhythms, haunted vocals, and mysterious percussion fuel a discombobulated house set that scrambles the listener's five senses, leaving one disoriented and exposed to the vagaries of vertigo.

None more so, than in 'Bo Ni Ke' where Middle Eastern accents meet Japanese-influenced vocal trickery and Moroccan flutes à la Jajouka transform into a feverish trance.

PREMIERE - Iñigo Vontier - Bo Ni Ke (Lumière Noire)

Correspondant return with another cosmic tonic to combat these strange and turbulent times. Four slices of smouldering, sexy, groove-toned deep disco, perfect for any lockdown or socially distanced scenario you can possibly imagine, they come courtesy of Tel Aviv's Niv Ast who's been making a name for himself in all the right places; Nein, Duro, Ombra, Relish and of course this very label with two big cameos last year remixing Fort Romeau and appearing on the 'Nume'ro 2' collection. This is his debut EP for Correspondent and arguably his biggest EP to date; 'I Remember' sets the hazy, introspective mood with purring spoken word and salubrious instrumentation before 'Ninja's Mothership' goes all-out psychedelic with sweeping guitar blasts and a slinky, writhing groove. Deeper again we hit pure uncut funk in the form of 'Hyperball Superball' before 'Poisson d'Argent' brings home the silver... A hook-up with good friend Cornelius Doctor, and easily the heaviest piece of the release, it's a chugging cosmic finale laced with layers of textures and sounds to completely lose yourself within. Strange, turbulent, smouldering, sexy; this is the perfect music to stay safe to... Correspondence is key right now. Let us know how you feel.
