In "The Umbra is Going Wild" EP, Anton expresses his passion for industrial music, acid house, and electronic body music. The remixes feature producers from various genres, furthering the Umbra's eclectic journey. Contributors include Mexican producer Tkuz, Spaniard and Logical Records label owner Ivan De La Rouch, Arma 17 resident and Pinkman regular Lvrin, Bravers co-founder Oryol, and Temple de Plastique resident Julia Konor.

PREMIERE: R.D.F - Fractal (Seesif & Origins Of Time Remix)

Sometimes, a bird needs to step away from its flock in order to tell a different story from the rest of the gang. Tim Shaw, part of the respected Manchester-based collective Doodle, decided to fly solo for his very first appearance on the mighty Sprechen. Under the moniker of Amuse Bouche, Tim presents “Serendipity”, an impeccable reunion of five inspired-by-the-past multi-genre cuts focused on triggering not only nostalgia but also a sense of freshness on the dance floor.

And yeah, we had to check: “Serendipity does not come from Latin or Greek, but rather was created by a British nobleman in the mid-1700s from an ancient Persian fairy tale. The meaning of the word, good luck in finding valuable things unintentionally, refers to the fairy tale characters who were always making discoveries through chance.”

Amuse Bouche’s “Serendipity”, in turn, “goes all jacking & wonky with some 80's style breakdance beats alongside synth lines and rumbling bass notes which builds around a stuttered vocal sample before dropping to deliver the goods. Mutant-Cosmic-Breakdance is the order of the day here”, as perfectly said in the official press release of the soirée.

And what a debut it is: Four really really strong tracks to let all bells ring indeed. »Backing Track« isn't really aptly named as this track isn't for backing - it is for strictly dancing and spacing out on the floor. No prisoners taken here. The Zillas gear down a bit in »Ether Drift Theory« but of course keep the customers satisfied with a dark and solid number. »Mister Wonderful« features some wonderful breakbeats at the beginning until the bass drum and the acid madness takes over. Last but not least we enter the »Portal To Nowhere« - what a tune! Dark wobbling bass lines, spacey synth sounds, lovely claps - all the right ingredients necessary for a fun time at your local club of trust.
Zillas On Acid already made their name as a Philadelphian institution but now they will take over Europe by storm - thus we guarantee.

Rich in melody and instantly classic in feel, Luca dell’Orso debuts on CWPT with a mini-album of lush Italo, sensitively summoned from the Netherlands. Having impressed with previous releases on labels including Bordello A Parigi and Red Laser Records, this longer player demonstrates a delicate approach to his studio, flitting between pop songwriting and analog experimentation.

From the soft fanfare that announces ‘Solitair & Solidair,’ ‘Actors’ establishes a confident groove that gently pushes an Alfa Romeo pedal toward Balearic ecstasy. On the instantaneous lead single ‘Dear Rosie,’ dell’Orso blends the signature palette of the vintage Yamaha DX7 synthesizer with longing vocals from collaborator Jolisa. A paean to a special person from a distant past, ‘Dear Rosie’ is blessed with a wistful melody befitting a classic Eric Rohmer film, a musical postcard of a treasured connection. From wistful midsummer memories, dell’Orso easily transports listeners to another season entirely with ‘Winter Scent’, a deep meditation reflecting the artist’s walks in the few hours of available sunlight, thoughts beautifully vocoded beneath a heavy sonic layer.

Out of this lavish gloom blossoms the inevitable sound of spring on the driving, optimistic ‘Love by Association’; an enduring recipe of distinct drums and pitch-shifting synthesis, frozen in time for frenetic Eurodisco dancefloors. On ‘Propaganda’, dell’Orso offers a more forceful take on the same instincts, skipping inner-Schengen borders to simmer via industrially-tinted pleasures as revealed in Dusseldorf, 1984. For a sublime finale, ‘This Time (Things Will Be Different)’ takes to the piano, where Luca dell’Orso finds space to demonstrate the elegant minimalism that easily coexists alongside his timeless energy.

With slighty bleeping chords and a lush bass line topped with intriguing vocals, also by Undo, the EP's title track Dark Woods makes one of the most significant episodes of music, the 80s, sound pretty fresh and relevant in the new golden era rather known as the 20s of the new century. Covered with atmospheric pads Dark Woods allows a gloomy possessive atmosphere to develop and lures the listener into its vibe – Undo's vocals then take the part of the Sirens with the difference that they are not sitting on the Loreley rock but the singing comes out of the woods, the Dark Woods.
