Millhouse returns with the first single off the new Vicious Games EP.  Sunday Specters is a stripped-down Italo track with subtle cosmic touches. Built on analog textures and steady groove, it’s suited for prime time sets, transitions, or even deeper moments on the floor.

Balearic Ensemble locks in for another round, this time welcoming Statues to the fold with Power Hour, a five-track voyage through shimmering synthwork, pulsating grooves, and deep dancefloor mystique. Three originals, two heavyweight remixes—tried, tested, and ready to roll.

The title track Power Hour sets the pace—tight, kinetic, a late-night charge built for motion. Steve Carr takes the wheel for the remix, stripping it back and stretching it out, all lush textures and low-end sway. A heads-down moment with eyes on the horizon.

Then there’s Starlights, a slow-burning dream wrapped in warmth. Pete Blaker works his alchemy, spinning it into an eight-minute tribal glide—delicate, expansive, locked into the groove. A man with credentials—DJ Harvey, Balearic Blah Blah, Music For Dreams, Hot Biscuit Recordings—his touch lands just right.

Statues - Power Hour (Stevie Carr Arabian Night)

Mr. Computer sees two figureheads of Dutch electronics pay homage to the voice of electro disco, the vocoder. Figi and Luca dell’Orso team up to sing praise of a tool that has crossed genres and styles and give the little metal larynx deserved limelight on their own three track theatre. Rumbling bass is shot through with crisp snaps in the title piece, warbling vocals rising as keys dance in this wonderful collaboration. Production across the 12” is beautifully clean and sharp, allowing the rich analogue sound and robotic lyrics to be fully appreciated. Of course, as happens with the vocoder, those lyrics are just that shade of bittersweet. That brooding quality is used to full effect by Luca dell’Orso in “Fire with Fire”. A bold and daring melody is countered by a tale flecked with sorrow, the brightness and immersion of synths contrasted by the filtered and fractured human voice. Figi flies solo for the finale. “Moonlight (Vocoder Version)” dips words in a thick mechanical syrup, a story of burning love recanted to moonbeam rinses and bending disco bars. A true celebration of man and machine.

For this first opus, she wants to collaborate and praise some of her talented friends that she met during her journey. Dan ChiCharron takes us into a dreamlike twilight world where ephemeral characters appear
and disappear, disrupting the trance state just long enough to rekindle it with renewed energy. With a mechanical bassline and unpredictable breaks, Zapette paints a surreal, shifting sonic landscape—strange, entrancing, and irresistibly danceable.

YemeroFoni – “Padell”
YemeroFoni presents Padell a raw, hypnotic track that fuses distorted rock textures with the dark, jungle-inflected energy of indie dance. Gritty guitars, propulsive rhythms, and an atmospheric tension define a sound that resonates perfectly with the shadowy and rebellious identity of the label.

Specter – “Dr. Melendrez”

Co-produced by Local Suicide, the track operates at a steady 120 BPM, maintaining an unflinching tension without ever rushing. Acid-washed synth lines snake through layers of gleaming new beat arpeggios, while Vamparela’s Greek spoken-word passages lend an air of ritualistic mystique. John Parsley has been making an impact lately with his unique soundscapes and catchy left field rhythms. After the success of recent releases on Logical and Sulk Magic the Swiss producer brings two new originals to Roam Recordings to form the Schlanke Socke EP. Both tracks build with a rhythmic fluid motion while maintaining an eerily intriguing vibe. The original Schlanke Socke is an uptempo rendition of this style while Ghost in the Maschine brings the tempo down to add more space.

The EP also sees the return of Tronik Youth to Roam Recordings with an excellent remix of the title track. The Nein Records label boss takes the energy up even further on Schlanke Socke with a heavy percussion workout.

Mexican producer and label boss for Regith Records Otheo also joins the EP and adds a stunning dark disco remix of Ghost in the Maschine.

All four tracks work together to fit different times, tempos, and occasions while keeping with the Roam mantra - a little left of center and always for the dance floor.
