DISKO KLUBB boss MONKEY TIMERS, who leads Tokyo's underground disco scene, and KEITA SANO, who has been gaining attention for his releases on labels around the world, have started the project "GǼG”.

Using a variety of sampling and unique FX, our music has created a unique GǼG sound that is psychedelic and anarchic. 

This subversive sound is sure to be the key to shaking the dance floor.

@roamrecordings label head @jasonpeters returns with his latest single, We Used to Watch the Sunrise — a nostalgic and emotionally charged track blending warm electronic melodies, acid-tinged rhythms, and an arpeggiated bassline. Anchored by Jason Peters’ own vocals, the song plays like a modern rave ballad, echoing the sentiment: "I remember when we used to watch the sunrise."

@neuromancer & @radondo slow things down with a lush, mid-tempo interpretation. Their remix leans into moody 80s nostalgia, infusing the track with a goth-tinged, neo-new wave aesthetic.

Jason Peters is a DJ, producer, and the driving force behind Roam Recordings. For over a decade, he and his label have been at the forefront of the indie dance and dark disco movement. His sets draw from 80s italo, 90s rave, and contemporary indie dance/dark disco, while weaving in rare disco cuts, psychedelic techno, and early house.

A longtime fixture in the San Francisco dance music community, Jason regularly plays for some of the city’s most respected crews and venues, including Sunset Sound System, Housepitality, Monarch, and The Great Northern. His travels have taken him far beyond the Bay, with appearances at SundaySunday, CRSSD Festival, Block 9 at Glastonbury, Red Light Radio, Kater Blau, and Alfresco Festival.

Stockholm Syndrome - Truth Limits (FREE DOWNLOAD)

Roam Recordings kicks off 2018 with a new release from its boss JP Soul. After a big year of releases on labels such as Nein, Emerald & Doreen, Logical, Meant, and Whiskey Disco JP Soul returns to Roam with two new dance floor originals that form the Bacchanal EP. The title track Bacchanal is an Italo-Disco infused jam with an energetic synth groove backing a decadent vocal. The second original, Might as Well, is a low slung gritty chugger with a bit of psychedelic funk with a nihilistic vocal. 

The Bacchanal EP comes with a top notch cast of outstanding remixers. Up first is Hardway Bros aka Sean Johnston of A Love from Outer Space who adds a dark edge to Bacchanal with a grinding heavy energy perfect for a big system. Italian legend In Flagranti brings a playful electro touch to Bacchanal that can slip in easily to a variety of sets. Rounding out the EP is Argentinian artist Thomass Jackson who delivers a wild west psychedelic guitar laden version of Might as Well.

All five tracks come together to form a unique and versatile EP that follows the Roam mantra - somewhere between disco and techno...a little left of center and always for the dance floor.

Bacchanal

Might as Well (Original Mix)

After releasing their Yantar LP digitally last year, Hell Yeah now serve up a much anticipated  vinyl version of Richard Somerville and Craig Wilson’s perfectly horizontal sounds. It features two of the superb originals with remixes from The Beat Broker and Los Gatos Escobar.

Somerville & Wilson have appeared on ISM Records, DWDK (Danny Was A Drag King), Paper Records and Music for Dreams and count the likes of Tensnake and Gerd Janson as fans of their laidback and charming grooves, and this EP is a real slab of heat that will surely sizzle souls across the world this summer. 
 
First up, The Beat Broker proves he is on fire right now with a remix of the classic ‘Melt.’ His heart swelling remix has impossibly mellow chords ringing out into a yellow-orange sky as melodies rise and fall like a yacht bobbing on gentle waters. It’s a blissed out musical sunset of the highest order.

Then comes Somerville & Wilson’s ’Cero Gravity’, eight minutes of cosmic synth workouts, yawning chords and long legged drums offset by soft acid. Drenched in reverb and rippling out in all directions, it’s a warm musical rush that keeps washing over you until your soul melts away. 
 
From New York, Los Gatos Escobar duo offer a more driving but just as tropical remix of ‘Yantar’ with big rubbery drums, zoned out chords and smeared pads. It’s beautifully innocent and honest, heartfelt and meditative music that encourages you to escape to a seaside paradise.

Last of all, a melted Space Edit of Yantar is drowned in saturated chords, scorched pads and heat damaged keys that leave you adrift in a sea of sumptuousness. 
 
Music doesn’t come much more majestic, melodic and mellow than this.
