Though a few of these familiar and strange remedies had brought momentary relief, it wasn't long before the pain returned in full force. There was just one more option that she had yet to explore, but with this healing power came much risk...

Drawing influence from the uncertain times we've found ourselves in over the last year, Logical Rec bosses Ivan De La Rouch & Mike Sacchetti release their 'Cúrame' EP, which translates from Spanish as ‘Heal Me’. Coming via Play Pal Records, it marks the pair's first outing on the Madrid label and sees them merge hypnotic guitar riffs with analogue electronics, all delivered with a punk attitude. On the flip the two originals get the rework treatment from label affiliate Rigopolar, Italian producer Amarcord, Fucanglong Files boss Mufti and Berlin's Skelesys.

Sinchi returns with a fourth fantastic volume of its Altered States compilation featuring a wealth of innovative artists from Italy, Mexico, Russia, the UK and Montenegro. As always, the label will donate all money from sales to the Sinchi Foundation, supporting indigenous peoples worldwide.
Pim Secle & Pelzensers are ﬁrst up and hail from Montenegro. They have been in electronic music for several years as solo artists and are known for experimenting with diﬀerent genres, from electronica to breakbeat to techno. 'Skankamode' is their ﬁrst collaboration and is a free-fusion of synth, disco and electro built on nimble drums and ﬁnished in style with lush future-retro chords.

Last EP of the year on Logia Records (@logiarecords) and none other than Alex Aguayo (@alexaguayomusic) with “Velocity”: the Mexican producer arrives on the Argentine label with four tracks that make up this EP in which we find his usual sounds of acoustic drums and electric guitars, with Indie Dance sounds in Techno and Progressive mode. “Velocity”, with a remix of acid techno by Celestino, “This is the future”, with a remix by BT COP, a Glasgow-based producer recently released by the label, “Lost & Found”, with a remix by Playa del Karma that brings Dancefloor rhythm to the original track and closing this EP, a collab with the Mexican producer m i l l o, “Broken”, with some post-punk overtones and Dark Disco, remixed in techno mode by Corresponsal.

Alex Aguayo - Lost & Found [Logia Records]

San Francisco based record label Roam Recordings celebrates its 100th release with a compilation from beloved alumni and new artists offering original work spanning darker shades of disco, cosmic techno, psychedelic, and acid house. What started as a group of ravers in the mid 90s that roamed the countryside (mostly in the US, Canada, and Mexico) looking for parties has evolved under the direction of its boss Jason Peters into a record label featuring a diverse array of internationally known artists. The intent of the record label is to continue the journey in search of new sounds while honoring the past. The Roam 100 Compilation is a milestone in that journey. It has been arranged to be enjoyed from beginning to end and to be rifled through at will.

If the name has not rung the bell, we had better start over: Diaz Tech (SXDNS089/FREEDL013) makes his debut on the still-brand-new label Kyma Komplex. The prolific and respected Mexican producer brings to life “Don’t Stop”, a solid EP featuring two top-notch originals and three outstanding remixes made with love by Cu Da Curuxa, Cali Burton, and Edd Brave (FREEDL033).

With a name carved in stone amid the most acclaimed artists of the underground electronic music scene in Mexico, Daniel’s works have been released not only on important local but also on noteworthy international labels such as Veneno, Controlla, Phisica, Logia, Maleante, Emerald & Doreen, HEARec, and Oberwave, just to name a few.

Premiered here, Eduardo Fernandez aka Edd Brave’s take on “Push It” is what we call here a KAPOW!!! track! Inspired by the frenzied atmosphere of the original, Edd brought the game to a noisier and more intense realm. The laser-like layers added by Edd are definitely something and resulted in a peak time anomaly!
