The Madrid-based duo formed by Rama and Pedro, aka Teemon & Poomba, make their debut on Rotten City Files with the Stellar Rain EP, following their acclaimed work on labels like Música Cavernícola and Espacio Cielo. This release features two original tracks and two remixes by Psycho Weazel and Alvaro Cabana, offering an opportunity to revisit the "Euro Disco" roots and influences of the label.

"Meteoro Rain" is a track with an Italo vibe that, combined with Rosa's vocals, gives the song a retro character. A hopeful synth melody and modern production provide it with the necessary strength to shine on the dance floor without losing its nostalgic soul.

On the other hand, "Stellar Love" retains the Italo essence of the previous track but leans more into epic melodies and arpeggios. It shares the same nostalgic soul and power but is tailored for those who connect more with instrumental productions.

Label head honcho Alvaro Cabana reimagines the first track with a '90s groove, adding a faster tempo and a mood reminiscent of late-'90s Tech/Progressive House, with some nods to classic "Reese" productions (“Rock To the Beat”).

Closing the release, the Swiss duo Psycho Weazel (Exploited, Correspondant, Iptamenos) transforms Stellar Love into a peak-time bomb made for the dance floor, with a hypnotic, trance-like mood sure to delight the most devoted rave heads.

Teemon  & Poomba - Stellar Love (Psycho Weazel Remix) [Rotten City]

Daniel Monaco and John Noseda join forces for Alektra, a new project born out of a deep love for Hi-NRG and raw 808 sounds. Renowned for their dj sets, trips that delve into tropical obscurities, Chicago jack and Rimini romances, the pair have channelled a unique blend of untamed house and shimmering italo melodies into pure dancefloor euphoria. Their debut release, “Shake Your Body” drops on Bordello A Parigi. Neon synthwork is punctured by clean punches of percussion, scaling melodies set firmly in the golden analogue era. Key stabs drive the track with Only Bee’s honeyed lyrics pushing the energy levels higher. In true 1980s anthem form, the flip is dedicated to the instrumental with the synthesizers and their hypnotic melodies taking centre stage: Alektra’s machines smouldering with fiery intensity. That same intensity closes, Only Bee’s mellifluous vocals given the limelight for the acapella close. Dancefloor definitions redefined. Welcome to Alektra.

AGLE - Spatial Anomalies - May 2025

Balearic Ensemble locks in for another round, this time welcoming Statues to the fold with Power Hour, a five-track voyage through shimmering synthwork, pulsating grooves, and deep dancefloor mystique. Three originals, two heavyweight remixes—tried, tested, and ready to roll.

The title track Power Hour sets the pace—tight, kinetic, a late-night charge built for motion. Steve Carr takes the wheel for the remix, stripping it back and stretching it out, all lush textures and low-end sway. A heads-down moment with eyes on the horizon.

Then there’s Starlights, a slow-burning dream wrapped in warmth. Pete Blaker works his alchemy, spinning it into an eight-minute tribal glide—delicate, expansive, locked into the groove. A man with credentials—DJ Harvey, Balearic Blah Blah, Music For Dreams, Hot Biscuit Recordings—his touch lands just right.

Statues - Power Hour (Stevie Carr Arabian Night)

"Mutation" - or Pyrame´s journey to the "Hyperspace of Dimension 7". In his new EP, the versatile artist dug deep into his electro, punk and new wave influences to draw a postmodern scenario for a world mutating ever faster and with which he can barely keep up, he says. Joining the Mutation hyper-spaceship, H.L.M., Oltrefuturo  and Acid Washed, reworked both tracks to ensure a 360 experience for the listener she/he won't be going to forget.

When @RadialGaze meets @NicolaKubebe, the result is Iron Pinky Toad — a title that sounds either like a secret kung-fu move or a lost cartoon book. But don’t be fooled — this one hits hard.

The long-awaited collab brings three original tracks — Phantom Limb, Lights of Phoenix and the title cut Iron Pinky Toad — that effortlessly bridge the gap between slow-burning tribal techno and the raw pulse of new beat nested into an early techno nutshell. Imagine dancing barefoot in a ritual under a disco eclipse — you’re getting close.

To seal the record, @PlaygroundRecords boss @MartinNoise steps in alongside rising sensation @AnastasiaZems, pushing the release into full-blown dancefloor sorcery. The groove is deep, the bass is sweaty, and the toad… well, the toad is on fire !

Maeve are thrilled to welcome long time friend Kev Sheridan to the label for his debut release. Kev is one of the most talented musicians we know and its an honor for us to release his first work to the world. This project has been developing over the past few years and now we have a record we feel showcases the deep musicality and talent Kev has.

Although not sounding like a typical Maeve dance floor record, the A side entitled "Alone in Berlin" is a stunningly beautiful piece of music. Its measured melancholic flow creates a shared empathy between listener and composer.

"Wash Over Me" is the B1, and with it comes a change of pace moving into a broken beat rhythm but still maintaining the emotion of the A side. Haunting pads hang over clean staccato percussion creating an overall euphoric vibe.

"Losing Someone Is Never Easy" is the final track on the EP. This straight up house cut again shows Sheridans deep musicality using a wide range of instruments to weave a beautiful tapestry made for special dance floor moments.

French electronic trio dOP drop their fourth instalment to their dOP Only label with ‘Le Bruit’.

Celebrating their 11th Birthday in style, ‘Le Bruit’ is the fourth track of the year, and now Kaczmarek joins the collection on the remix duty. The trio spice things up a little for this one, extending out an open invitation to be casted in their music video for the upcoming single.

‘Le Bruit’ centres around a signature crisp synth groove and intimate vocal lick, growing in tension until finally bursting into life by an array of reverberating snare rolls and sinister synth lines, menacingly floating and distorting throughout. 

Welcoming Kaczmarek, the mysterious alias of Paul Ritch on the remix, he recreates an experimental and dark soundscape that both explores and transforms the core elements of the trio’s sound. He morphs the tight crunchy synth work and piercing vocals into an echoing range of hefty monstrous attacks that will pound into the early hours.
