The first in a series of mixes where I've digged deep into my archives and put together a selection of tracks from my past. I'll be looking into all sorts of great genres such as Funky House, Scouse House, Disco, Trance, Hard House, Old Skool and much more. 
This first edition see's us looking right back to the mid 90's when hardcore was king. 
Venues like The Dock, Club Kinetic and The Drome where all banging out an assortment of faster beats, and lots of it came from over the sea from our friends in Holland. 
This mix is a tribute and testament to the great Hardcore than came from over in Europe from that period. 
If 175bpm is too fast for you, you may as well skip this one!

Rob Cain - From The Vaults (Volume 01) (European Happy Hardcore Classics)

The second instalment in the series delves into my archives of Funky House anthems. 
When I started DJing around Liverpool in the late 90's and early 00's I was initially a warm up DJ. I'd play the first hour or two before the main DJs came on and played a bit tougher. 
At that time I was playing lots of US House, Funky House and Deep House bits. Then in 2002 there was a huge boom in Funky House and it became the soundtrack to the majority of Liverpools dancefloors. 

I was resident at Bar Red which along with Society and Garlands was musically miles ahead of the rest of the city. 
Showcasing all the latest and greatest tracks we could get our hands on from all over the world. It was an amazing part of my life! 

This mix, spread over 2 hours, captures a brief moment in that era. There was too much unbelievable music to fit into one mix so I'll do a part two at a later date. 
For now though, enjoy.
