Megapixel discovered electronic dance music in Western Australia where she was first introduced to psytrance in 2006. She immediately fell in love with the music and culture. She has always had a strong connection to music from a very young age playing the piano, flute and guitar so it was very natural for her to make the progression to DJing and immerse herself in this world. Megapixel played her first set in 2008 quickly becoming a dance floor favourite in Perth. She dedicated many hours developing her skills and started to hold events of her own. In 2011 she wanted to explore this further and made the move to Melbourne where she continued to grow.

Now after 17 years since her debut, Megapixel has established herself as a solid edition to any line up. She has played at some of the biggest dance floors in Australia at Rainbow Serpent Festival, Esoteric Festival, Earthcore Festival, Babylon Festival, Paradigm Festival, Earth Frequency Festival, Elements Festival, Wild Horses Festival, Dragon Dreaming Festival, just to name a few. With hard work and determination driving her forward she also gained popularity over seas playing main stage at Boom Festival in Portugal, Ozora Festival in Hungary, Sunshine Gathering in Japan, Gentenkaiki Festival in Japan, AgeHA in Japan and Dimension Festival in New Zealand.

Megapixel has become one of the most known and recognised Australian DJs in the global psytrance community. Her ability to mix her energetic style with the Japanese middle groove sound didn’t go unnoticed signing to Grasshopper Records in 2015. Channeling the natural rhythms of the earth, ÐRUiD mixes sacred frequencies with modern soundscapes, guiding the crowd on a transformative journey. Drawing from his Celtic heritage, taps into ancient traditions and spiritual connections to weave a unique and soul-stirring experience.

Drew began his musical journey playing thrash metal with mates, and noodling on the acoustic guitar. Then in 2016 was exposed to the Australian doof scene and started a deep dive into electronic music. Initially inspired by progressive house and techno he soon started playing at small festivals and house parties.

After recently discovering the Ecstatic Dance scene, Drew's passion for DJing has reignited, receiving unbounded enjoyment from creating intricate musical journeys using a variety of styles and genres and playing it to eager participants.

Maylene Slater-Burns, on stage known as Maylene Yinarr, is a singer-songwriter from Melbourne, Victoria on Kulin lands. Maylene writes to inspire conversations about identity and vulnerability. Her soft ballads are haunting, uplifting and thought-provoking.

Through her parents, Maylene is part of the Kamilaroi, Wiradjuri, Kuku Djungan, and Gangalidda Aboriginal nations. She has family ties to the Yanyuwa, Kuku Yalanji, Arrente, Walpirri, Yorta Yorta, Latji Latji, Wemba Wemba, Gunditjmara, Yuin, Worimi, Ngunnawal, Ngambri and Kulin nations. Kulin is home.

Maylene is a proud activist for Aboriginal self-determination and loudly calls for Federal Government reform over the treatment of First Nations people in Australia.

Away from performances, Maylene is the Deputy Chairperson of Songlines Aboriginal Music Corporation, the state peak body supporting Indigenous artists and music based in Victoria. 

She co-runs Mindful Mob, a platform to encourage healing in blackfullas and share quotes, thoughts and inspirations relating to mindfulness, inner life and spirituality. 

Maylene was previously a member of the Dhumba Committee at TEAR Australia, delivered National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day (2014-2018) at SNAICC - National Voice for our Children and assists in all things creative to blackfulla music, healing and expression.

Desert Dwellers is a pioneering electronic music project that bridges the ancient and the future, fusing deep bass, world instrumentation, and psychedelic textures into immersive sonic journeys. Founded in 1999 by Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, the project grew out of the legendary Moontribe gatherings in the deserts of Southern California and Santa Fe, New Mexicos desert rave scene. 

Blending influences from many genres, Desert Dwellers has released dozens of albums and remixes, toured across five continents, and collaborated with an eclectic array of artists from around the world. Their music has graced stages at Symbiosis, Ozora, Lightning in a Bottle, Boom, Envision, Shambhala, and Burning Man, resonating with audiences through both meditative journeys and powerful dancefloor experiences.

In 2026, Desert Dwellers will enter its most significant evolution yet. Co-founder Amani Friend will be stepping away from touring to focus on studio production and other creative pursuits, while a new collaborator joined the project, acclaimed producer and mixing/mastering engineer Sarkis Mikael. While continuing to honor the project’s signature sound and ethos “Music Beyond Borders,” Desert Dwellers is now expanding into bold new sonic territories. Sarkis, with releases on respected labels like Sol Selectas, Saisons, and Hoomidaas, brings a fresh creative spark and deep musical integrity.
