I've been working as a studio engineer/producer at Church Road Recording Co. in Hove, UK for over 10 years and have worked with hundreds of bands and artists on numerous independent commercial releases.
I've set up this soundcloud page to showcase some of my recent projects with a view to making new contacts and attracting new clients. 
I'm basically a rock'n'roller. I love 60s psych and garage, girl groups, rock-a-billy, soul, blues and country. My favourite artists include Bo Diddley, Velvet Underground, Lee Hazelwood, Scott Walker, Serge Gainsbourg and the Jesus and Mary Chain. I also revere cinematic composers like Angelo Badalementi, John Barry and Ennio Morricone.
I have a strong interest in the whole history of recorded music and I like to incorporate vintage, analogue equipment and techniques into my work wherever possible.
I'm also a musician performing guitars, bass and vocals in various bands and projects. At the moment I'm in Palm Springs, Mudlow, Fire Eyes and Beat Hotel.


Long time project of Paul Pascoe (Mudlow, Palm Springs, Fire Eyes) and Arash Torabi (The June Brides, The Granite Shore). After a lengthy hiatus Beat Hotel was resurrected for a collaboration with Jim Shepherd of Creation Records stalwarts The Jasmine Minks. 2 songs - the pounding Stooges-esque rocker "The Fire" and the shimmering, melodic "Best Of Our Years - were released as a 7" single and download in 2013 on Brighton's Random Acts Of Vinyl label. Drummer Dave Morgan (Rockingbirds, Weather Prophets) also features.

Guitarist Stephen Brett (Mojo Fins) has recently joined the band and a brand new mini-album is set for release sometime in the Autumn 2019. Keep watching.

Seadog is the Brighton-based dream-pop project led by musicians Mark Benton and Tom Chadd. Blending lush melodies with anthemic electric and acoustic textures, Seadog crafts songs that drift between lullaby and anthem, weaving influences into a rich tapestry of sonic storytelling. Following their debut album Cabin Fever Blues —produced in part with legendary engineer Phill Brown (Talk Talk, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones) Seadog returned with their second album, Internal Noise. Born in the stillness of the 2020 lockdown and brought to full life at Bella Union Studios in Brighton, the record features production from Jack Wolter of Penelope Isles, who also contributes drums, guitars, and backing vocals. His sister and bandmate Lily Wolter adds further depth with her guest vocals on the album, enhancing the intimate yet expansive feel of the recordings. Seadogs music has been championed by a range of respected voices, earning airplay on Amazing Radio, BBC Introducing The South. Their single Tidal Wave marked a major step forward, selected for Tom Robinsons BBC Introducing Mixtape on 6 Music and spotlighted on Lauren Laverne's BBC 6 Music Recommends show. With Internal Noise, Seadog continues their ascent, creating music that's as emotionally resonant as it is sonically adventurous songs that soar, shimmer, and stay with you.
