A slice of October 24, 1987 sometime in the afternoon.  The songs are "Be Mine Tonight" by Promise Circle; hotmixes of Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven is a Place on Earth" and "Catch Me (I'm Falling)" by Pretty Poison, and an imager including songs just added to the playlist:  Erasure's "Victim of Love," the aforementioned Carlisle song, and Double Destiny's "Prove It."

Hot 103 Freddie Colon October 24, 1987

A delightfully upbeat, solid representation of radio station WQHT "Hot 97" in New York in September of 1989.

By now, Hot 97 was leaning more top 40/CHR and less R&B and dance.  Mary Thomas takes listeners through a Sunday late afternoon.  There are few commercials, lots of promos/jingles/sweepers, and tons of music.

The aircheck begins with TKA's "You Are the One"; a "top of the Empire State Building" transition sweeper that brings the tempo down for "Rock Wit'cha" by Bobby Brown.

Next comes an instant request for "Cover Girl" by New Kids on the Block as part of the station promoting the music and concert tour; "Secret Rendezvous" by Karyn White; a new song from Simon Cowell's main squeeze Sinitta and "Right Back to Where we Started From"; the Hotmix of Natalie Cole's "Pink Cadillac"; "Toy Soldiers" by Martika (note uncredited backing vocals from Fergie and Jennifer Love Hewitt); Soave's "Crying Over You"; the "top of the Empire State Building" sweeper again being used to transition into the downtempo "Girl I'm Gonna Miss You" by Milli Vanilli; "What You Don't Know" by Expose; "Me So Horny" by 2 Live Crew; "I Still Believe" by Brenda K. Starr; a slightly altered version of "Cherish" by Madonna with an extended intro; "Forever Your Girl" by Paula Abdul; "Memories" by Johnny O; "Get Away" by Stephanie" and the very end of the aircheck has "I Like It" by Dino.
