Coosa Lee's life story is a blend of Southern grit and soulful ambition. Raised in the trailer parks and projects of Gadsden, Alabama, particularly Walnut Park, Coosa witnessed the harsh realities of poverty, addiction, and loss. Yet, it was from this very struggle that his artistic fire was ignited.

Seeking a brighter future, Coosa migrated to Nashville, Tennessee. There, he traded the grit of the streets for the hustle of the music scene. With an unwavering work ethic, he didn't just pursue music; he helped build it. Coosa honed his skills under the tutelage of the legendary Alexander King, learning the art of engineering, production, and songwriting. His dedication extended beyond the studio, as he helped construct numerous recording spaces in Nashville.

Coosa's latest project, "Son of the Mud," is a return to his roots. The album delves into his Gadsden experiences, with music videos shot on location to capture the essence of his journey.  Fatherhood is on the horizon, further fueling Coosa's creative fire. ensuring his visuals capture the essence of his upbringing – a world shaped by drug dealers, bikers, bartenders, and pool hustlers. It's a world that straddled the ghetto and the country, a duality reflected in Coosa's musical influences: T.I., Lil Wayne, Jamey Johnson, and Hank Williams Jr.
