Friday Cucina

David Naville, aka @pyrame, is a Lausanne-born Berlin-based music & record producer. He founded his electronic music record label THISBE Recordings in 2020 in order to produce artists whose music stands at the crossroads of the main genres of electro, house and techno music.  

His set is a - lite - THISBE Recordings´showcase featuring several tracks released earlier this year by, among others, Nomenklatür, Agle, Radial Gaze and Kubebe, or about to be released . His mix also features curated tracks from fellow labels such as Playground records, Bonkers Music, Belly Dancers Services and Side Up Works.

Regularly behind the decks in Berlin and abroad, Pyrame subtly blends sub-genres, from slow techo to minimal electro, from indie house to leftfield techno, bringing along the listener onto a melancholic yet hopeful musical trip, his new mix being yet another evidence of his focus on converging where the genres´ boundaries meet.  

In June this year, Pyrame released his new EP "Mutation", available now on Bandcamp and all streaming platforms.

Once, a man gazed at the starry sky, pondering the vastness of the universe and the fleeting nature of human life. As he watched, he realized that the stars, with their ancient, silent glow, had existed long before he was born and would persist long after he was gone yet he struggled to truly understand his place in this incomprehensible cosmos. The more he tried to grasp the meaning of existence, the more elusive it became, like trying to hold a handful of mist. A reminder that the strangeness of our existence is woven into the very fabric of the universe, leaving us to marvel at its mysteries with awe and humility.
