Jay Olivine is Ziggy Stardust’s fourth favourite lyricist in Northeast Brisbane. 

He is a hitless wonder who scratches out demos in a dark booth beneath his kitchen. 

Sometimes he adds distortion to cover the snores of his dog. Sometimes he gets away with an acoustic number. 

His dream (not his dog’s dream) would be to license his lyrics to someone who would take them somewhere beautiful. He keeps dreaming. 

Olivine is a common green rock. Jay Olivine is not.

A self-taught composer, who has found his voice in older and traditional forms and styles of music.
Currently mostly composing for piano, but I have grand ambitions for writing chamber music and symphonies.
My music has a lot of variety in a way that expresses all kinds of sentiments, both intrapersonal and extrapersonal, kept in a cohesion by an underlying narrative; every composition is its own journey or a adventure, and I invite any guests who stumble upon my page to take part in it.

As a composer, I am fortunate to have collaborated with incredibly talented artists from SoundCloud. This includes my latest album with the truly extraordinary soprano Maribel Villarroel and the masterful arranger and pianist René Calderón for 'Canciones para Pablo Neruda.' These songs are based on the poems of the great Pablo Neruda, and permission has been granted by the Pablo Neruda Foundation. Please listen, Maribel is a tour de force and her and René's interpretation of Neruda and these songs is so heartfelt. I am so deeply moved and appreciative of their artistry.

Other albums are 'Entre Jupiter y Marte,' and 'Reflections.' The remarkable tenor Ricardo Tamura, accompanied by the accomplished pianist Lucy Arner, performed 'Entre Jupiter y Marte'. Ricardo and Lucy are both amazing. These songs were co-written with the acclaimed author Antonio Skarmeta, which is my most special and dear honor. 'Reflections' is a collection of my earlier works that were wonderfully interpreted by the gifted pianist Javier Gonzales.

Additionally, these albums are accompanied by musical scorebooks filled with beautiful art, created by great Chilean, American, and Japanese artists. These books, with the same titles as the albums, are available on Amazon.com.  'Canciones para Pablo Neruda" has been registered with the Ministerio de las Culturas, las Artes y el Patrimonio de Chile.

Another special collaboration among many is with Paul-Maurice Roche, the incredible pianist and composer.  Thank you for taking a song to new levels of nuance and emotion.

from the slums of Sandusky Ohio m d a a t h Rose to prominence in the late 90s when it was still very much about your lyrical ability to master ceremonies. After hearing late great songwriter static major had asked him to send over a demo m d a a t h then had all the inspiration he needed to record his first Underground demo titled "Black Acid" in 1999 at the young age of 10yrs old. his demo tape then caught the ear of Local Artist & CEO of 12-gauge records "Jewlz" MDaath would then go on to record his follow-up debut in 2001 tittled "BMW" with street hits like "Killing Season" & "Kzell" Word around town would begin to spread about the talents of a barely 13 year old putting together whole albums... 2008 he went on to find his own record label "Official Records" that same year & release his independent debut "The Tempest: Lost tapes" which would go on to receive critical reviews & Start a local and International Buzz.
