Waves of waves... an aural and visual representation

@tramonkaiser: some binaurals mics i made from panasonic Wm-61s. google it, it's pretty easy and shitloads cheaper than buying some (about £10)

@distorteddarrel: I used a pair of electret caps that i made to fit right into the ear canal. i'm gonna put em up on my website soon so i'll link you up if you wanna have a go. it's pretty easy if you've got the right tools.

This is the first in a series of binaurally recorded scenes I thought I'd share. To capture this I used a pair of home-made microphones that I put right inside my ear canal, so that what is recorded is almost exactly what my ears are hearing. Using this method you can get a full 360-degree sound-field with only two channels. Check it out:
