Borned on March 22n, 1978 in Santiago, Chile. His music career began in 1999 as bass player for
Chilean band “Jirafa Ardiendo”. In October, 1999 Nicolás with “Jirafa Ardiendo” traveled to Buenos
Aires, Argentina to record his second Album called “Siesta” (Nap) and to do shows in different bars
of the local circuit, including one Tv Show for music Network “Much Music”. This album was very
well promoted through different notes in the Chilean version of “Rolling Stone” magazine and “El
Mercurio” a well known chilean newspaper as one of the best albums of the year. The
song “Bumera” of that album was written by Nicolás. In 2003 the band records their third album
called “Persona” (Persona), where Nicolás wrote three songs: “5.4”, “Cada”, “Sed”. He also plays
the drums in three tracks, and participates in the musical arrangements of the whole album with
the guitarist and also composer of the band Roberto Estay. 2004 and 2005 are two years oriented
to live shows and promotion activities, rotation of three singles and video
clips “Mastodonte”, “Confío” y “Vidrio”. In 2007 (between July and October) the band records the
new album “Pulmonía” (Oveja Negra label) where Nicolás participates as a sound engineer (his
profession) doing the recording, mix, mastering and musical production, he also includes 3 songs
of his composition “Desde el estómago” (From the stomach), “Frágil” (Fragile) y “Ver” (To see). In
October 2008 the band travels to Spain and France to tour Madrid (for the Vivamerica Festival),
Aranda de Duero, Vigo, Barcelona and 2 shows in Paris, France, sponsored by the Chilean
Government (Departamento de Relaciones Exteriores) through the Direction of the Culture Affairs.
The same year the band travels to Buenos Aires (Argentina) to present “Pulmonía” which was very

2009 is the begining of the new era. Jirafa Ardiendo dissolves and Nicolás begins to prepare the
material for his first solo album, the name of his project (Rojo 5 tres veces- Red 5 three times)

In which he carries the notion of independence to his maximum expression playing all the
instruments and doing all the production (recording, mixing,production and mastering). The same
year Nicolás creates the United Solists Collective. A project that is individual and community at
the same time and is based on the solists association that has joined together with the purpose to
do live shows, where every solist presents his song with a band conformed by the other members
of the collective.

United Solists have played rock, jazz, acustic format and different type of venues. Now It’s
preparing their European tour for April, 2011.

As a sound engineer, Nicolás studied in University of Chile. He began in 1999 and graduated
in 2014 created his own recording studio called MORENO ESTUDIO
