Rob Deemer - Gallimaufry

Composer Rob Deemer has written a new concerto for an unsung hero of the orchestra - the English Horn (the oboe's slightly larger, duskier, more mysterious and spiritual sounding cousin). Titled "Vox Humana" it was commissioned just this year and will be heard at the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra on Campus series with JoAnn Falletta, conductor featuring Anna Mattix, English horn, Danielle Buonaiuto, soprano. Also on the program will be the Canisius College Chorale, Frank Scinta, director. It's this Tuesday, November 15, 2016 7:30 PM at the "MCC" (Montante Cultural Center) on the Canisius College campus. The program will feature: 
Fauré: Cantique de Jean Racine
Whitacre: Five Hebrew Love Songs
Vivaldi: Beatus Vir
Deemer: Vox Humana (Premiere performance)
Mozart: Symphony No. 41 in C major K. 551 Jupiter
