SIEMPRE QUE TE VEO  /  WHENEVER I SEE YOU

Pasma al mirar tu serena  /  Astounds looking at your serene
faz y tu largo cabello,  /  face and your long hair,
y observar rostro tan bello,  /  and observe such a beautiful complexion,
más que asombrar, me enajena.  /  more than astonishing, it alienates me.
Cuando en mi oído resuena  /  When in my ear resonates
tu cálida voz, espero  /  your warm voice, I hope
girarme y verte, pues quiero  /  to turn around and see you, because I want
hacerte saber, mi amor  /  to let you know, my love
que te amo, y mi calor  /  that I love you, and my warmth
ofrecerte por entero.  /  offer to you completely.

Siempre que te veo, intento,  /  Whenever I see you, I try,
con mi mirada, expresarte  /  with my gaze, to express to you
que te quiero. Mi sustento  /  that I love you. My livelihood
es tu sonrisa, son tus ojos  /  is your smile, are your eyes
y tu cara de indecisa.  /  and your indecisive grin.
Si te miro, sonriendo,  /  If I look at you, smiling,
si te sigo, pues queriendo  /  if I follow you, as wanting
poseerte, tengo prisa.  /  to possess you, I’m in a hurry.

Quisiera mirarte, grácil,  /  I’d like to look at you, graceful,
bella y extraña cual hada.  /  beautiful and strange like a fairy.
Cual si no pasara nada,  /  As if nothing was happening,
mirarte, pero no es fácil.  /  to look at you, but it’s not easy.
Quisiera hacerlo con casi,  /  I’d like to do it with almost,
casi inhumano ardor,  /  almost inhuman ardour,
y contemplar con fervor  /  and watch with fervour
tus excitantes y sabios  /  your exciting and wise
pasos, y encender tus labios  /  steps, and turn on your lips
con tiernos besos de amor.  /  with tender kisses of love.
