Bryan Black is back on CLR with a new BLACK ASTEROID EP, this time in close collaboration with vocalist Wesley Eisold of the band COLD CAVE on the featured songs entitled “Black Moon” and “Here Comes Fear”. Both of them are excellent examples for a successful and tasteful crossing of genre-borders, a rare mixture of timeless song writing and cutting edge Techno. The haunting voice of COLD CAVE adds a warm and soulful feeling to the carefully crafted beats and atmospheres of studio wizard Bryan Black aka BLACK ASTEROID and it all results in highly entertaining electronic music with seriousness and depth.

This mix starts with the first track when door opens and you get the whole progression of the name as people come in. The place got filled unusually early, which is amazing.

Great atmosphere all night, great costumes, very nice mixture of different people (mixed crowd, gay, hetero, etc.. in between..etc.. ) enjoying themselves

For the 15th instalment of our Halal Mixes we bring you a Brother from @Moscoman home town, growing up together sharing the musical dream Amichay’s story is of a lifetime pursuit musical thrills. Born and raised in Israel, his character has been forged by the melting pot of colorful and diverse culture that populates the country. Among his influenced lay some of the most obscure pairings you could ever think of and the soundtrack of his upbringing hovered on a spectrum of oriental jazz, middle eastern disco and 70’s psychedelic rock but when he discovered early electronics, disco, house and techno things started to take a turn. Being an active force, DJ and selector for nearly 2 decades, constantly digging crates for new sounds and pushing the bar form a young age, he gained mythical reputation within the Israeli club culture and been given the keys to one of the world’s best clubs and sound system’s, The Block, where he holds a residency. 

A lifelong music fanatic and record collector he founded Bauhaus Records which is an ode to the white city of Tel-Aviv and manifests cosmic old school flavored house and psychedelic acid vibe.

DJ, author, producer, remixer, label owner and artist.

Robert has many sides to his musical colors, from house, to disco house, tech house, minimal, techno and other weird stuff reflected in his dj sets and his productions

Here you have many of his first productions dating from 1993 until now

Holding a " legendary " status, leaving his mark as a pioneer being one of the first playing house music (in montreal, canada), then, being a major player in starting the techno/rave movement(in montreal, canada), his name is a symbol of talent, success and a continuously renewed vision of an irresistible and universal sound.

He stands out by being a trend setter for many styles of electronic music. 

Born Canadian, originally from Montreal, lived nearly 14 years in Europe (Holland and Germany).

He was amongst, and maybe, one of the 1st Canadian dj to introduce " House music" in Montreal's club around 1986. 

Later on, a major player in starting the techno and rave movement in Canada, then being one of the first Canadian dj to go play to other cities and move to Europe.

Robert has written record reviews for Canadian, American (Street sound, Trance 5000) and German music magazines (Raveline, Loop) and interviewed: Orbital, Gravitational arch of ten, Acid Junkies, Miss Djax, Stefan Robbers, Robert Armani, and Aphex twin.

He was also one of the first Canadian dj to play at more than just one club in the same city, and also one of the first to get booked as "Guest Dj "  to other cities, and also one of the first, to go dj in Europe and move there.

In 1993, leaves Canada for Europe , able to fully express himself musically without compromise, to, at that time, a more open and responsive European audience, but also to live in Europe long enough to really experience the difference in the cultures, produce, run labels and a lot of dj around every weekend, sometimes even, 2-3 events in one long night. The long unconstrained European club/event opening hours being another reason for leaving Canada and wanting the full European experience.

In Europe, first in lived Maastricht in THE NETHERLANDS (HOLLAND) and then in Köln (Cologne) in GERMANY.

Now based in Montreal.

Often ahead of his time and " avant-garde " & risk taking with his approach, the style he plays developed into a mastery at introducing new music to different types of people. 

His personal taste range is broad and he's open for the new, unexpected, but also loves beautiful, fun party music of quality. With years of experience playing to unknown crowds in different countries, versus being a resident dj for many years at notorious clubs in Montreal, he developed the awareness to be present in a club situation and have a good balance between the new, the fun and beautiful, to bring a quality vibe, that's what dj  basically is all about regardless of the styles being played, telling a story and finding ways to also connect with the audience. 

Versatile in styles he plays and produces. House, Tech House, Acid House, Deep, vocal, Techno. Robert loves to discover and research, so the music he plays is fresh and upfront.

He plays either sets of a certain type or concentrates on a specific style for a theme night or venue/crowd. 
House Sets, Tech House, Acid, Techno and sometimes Classic House or Classic Techno, Classic Disco, Garage, Nu Disco, New Wave.

Something he is used to from the years as resident dj doing the complete night by himself

Long sets making sense mixing the different styles creating an experience, a voyage for the dancers/listeners.
