PROGRAM NOTE
Moon Trio is the sister piece for another trio I wrote called Sun Trio. Each of the four movements is inspired by the moon. The first movement, Moonbeams, consists of bright, cascading arpeggios that interact and overlap, creating playful rhythmic interactions between the three instruments. The second movement, Three Lunatics, is a highly rhythmic, mixed-meter scherzo that capitalizes on extreme ranges and timbral effects. The third movement, Blue Moon, is slow, hazy and dreamlike, and is built on long held chords and lush melodies in the violin and cello. The last movement, Moon Trip, is like taking a trip on a rocket ship. It begins explosively, contains an etherial middle section, and ends solidly as the trio finally lands on solid ground. Moon Trio was commissioned by the Claremont Trio and Rick Teller. – RP

"Atoms", tells the story of the creation of the universe to the fall of civilisation. It deals with the existential questions surrounding mankind’s purpose and place in the world. The lyrics combines original written material, with extracts adapted from religious and mythological texts (The Rigveda, The Bible, Corpus Hermeticum, The Mystery of Amergin), canonical texts such as Inferno by Dante, Phaedo by Plato, and the works of William Blake, William Morris and Ernst Niekisch.

The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS) are a London-based duo comprising Andrea Papi and Daphne Ang. As a retired DOD Civil Service worker, I have time to record some. I have been recording at home for around 23 years and some of my tracks are very old.  I‘ve had 50+ years in bands playing music of many types. I still play the club scene 3 to 4 times a month. Life is good!
