Homely Planet is a media project managed by www.beyondskin.net  broadcasting world, folk & roots music and producing programmes in Northern Ireland to assist cultural relations through education.
Homely Planet's vision is to show how we as a race of people representing different cultures & traditions contribute in a more positive way to the economic and social status of society when we respect & have a better understanding of each others' diversity.
By providing a forum for learning, cultural and race relations, equality, diversity education and global exchange, Homely Planet aims to address the fears, stereotypes and cultural misunderstandings that can lead to conflict, racism & sectarianism.

Homely Planet is a new generation of ethical radio challenging some mainstream media concepts and radio traditions allowing all communities, faith groups, schools, organisations, artists and individuals to participate in broadcasting items exploring religion, race and cultural diversity.

Homely Planet is also supporting the world & roots music sector by developing projects and networks locally and international using the internet as a catalyst for world music access.

Homely Planet invites people to produce and broadcast their own radio programmes and also offers communities to connect with other people globally. There are many ways to get involved and if you have a cultural activity why not record and broadcast it to the world?

VenusRollerGirl has been DJ'ing for 15+years. Venus started Milliez Rehab all female collective, & was a member of Gypsy Tribe & Force10 Crew (Rathlin/Dome) Putting on Club Events, Festivals, workshops & Specialised events.

Depending on the gig Venus spins a mash-up of Electronic world music, Jungle, DNB, Electro Breakz,Dubstep,House,Techno, Downtempo. 

Outside of the Rave she performs at alternative weddings and events, spinning Swing Jazz Records, Northern Soul, Funk, Ska, Gypsy,Electro Swing. 

Venus was resident DJ for Love Music Hate Racism and was a member of Scream Blue Murmur who performed in Berlin. 

She begun her journey in Belfast with 2 other leading ladies VIBE COLLECTIVE spinning Jackin House, Techno, Electro, Minimal. Throwing parties with extravagant decor, laser lights, VJs and the Vibe 10k Sound System. 

Artists booked included Radioactive Man, Billy Nasty, Alter Ego, Octave One, Crystal Distortion (Spiral Tribe), BeardyMan & JRB, Ricco Tubbs, Annie Nightingale. 

Venus can be found DJing at Estatic dance events, Yoga workshops & gatherings.

I am a Guitarist/Drummer from Northern Ireland, who has spent 20 years of his life playing in Rock/Metal Bands, studying music, and over the last 5 years getting into production. 
I found Synth just at the end of 2019 and wrote my first track ‘Riding the Synth’. This single was released in January of 2020 and I have been riding that wave the whole of 2020. Focusing on Electronic music and synth style tracks has become something of a joy and helped keep me sane through the lockdowns. 

The first half of 2020 saw me release ‘The Good Old Days’ (single) and ‘A Rift in Time’ (EP), with my debut solo album BLADEMAN released just before Christmas.

I love expressing myself in this musical genre, though I am aware that you can’t pin me down to one particular style of synth music. I just write what I think sounds good. 
The BLADEMAN album draws on my love of Classical, Rock, Metal, Punk, Funk and all things experimental.
