Complex and beautiful composition, full of different movements and moods, I like it

I am so impressed by your use of harmony; but [my lack of musical knowledge] I am struggling [and fascinated by] to understand how it all works. Just here [and others have noted] it seems to me that some tension is released by moving from somewhat more dissonant to consonant chords but then to make it all sound logical and sometimes beautiful is amazing. I'd be grateful for some tips or explanation!

I have found some ways to recover - when I’m anxious or feeling low
I send a mail to my Grandkids just to give them my love
and if it is not too late an answer comes back
and I turn around and continue my restorative sleep

Sometimes when I’m feeling low - I ask for support from my wife
it might happen in the middle of the night and she never will protest
she will just take my little hand and squeezes it so light

If I wake up in the middle of the night - with a nightmare in my poor little brain
I will pick up my mobile and listen to the songs
that all my music friends have published on the net

“Contrapunctus III” was completed in February 2024 in Fairview, TX. The work is in three movements: Rondo, Variations, and Finale'. Performance time is about 20 minutes. Printed and electronic copies of the score are available now and instrumental parts will soon be available soon from www.CreativeSpiritOnline.com.

About this recording:
The present virtual recording was produced using Finale 27.4.1 and the Garritan Personal Orchestra 5 virtual instrument library. For the best listening experience, high quality headphones are recommended. This recording was mastered by EMastered.

2 Flutes. 2 Oboes, English Horn, Eb Clarinets, 2 Bb Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, 2 Bassoons, Contrabassoon, 2 Horns in F, 2 Trumpets in C, 2 Tenor Trombones, Bass Trombone, Tuba, Timpani, Percussion, Strings

• Tempo, expression, and dynamic markings should be strictly observed.
• There is no key signature. Accidentals apply to the end of the measure or to the note or notes tied over the measure, and only to notes of the same pitch class, in the same octave.
• Hairpin pairs (e.g.: mp <>, mf ><) indicate a temporary volume change of one dynamic level.
• Passages marked fff or ppp indicate playing as loudly and as quietly as possible, respectively.
• Double-bass “C-extension” is required.
