"Sinfonietta" was completed in April 2021. The work is scored for Wind Septet (consisting of Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, Trumpet, and Horn), Timpani, and String Orchestra.

"Sinfonietta" is roughly based on material from the composer's "Piano Sonata No. 6" and "Passacaglia", two works originally conceived and composed as part of one multi-movement work for piano.

Here is a 3th excerpt from the 4 seasons of Vivaldi that I renamed "Mutations" because the music is in perpetual evolution. 
I also gave a name (in French - An artistic code that you will find easily) with each movement, it is a personal feeling only. I spent a lot of time in these almost 3 minutes, looking for the power of summer that ends. I hope I have not betrayed that unbelievable great Master whom I admire so much.

Regular listeners will know that August has been a month of experimentation.  Each #MusicalMinute has used a pitch-class set based on the date that it was created, including the day.  Interestingly, today is the first nine note chord!  Does it sound very different from the others?  Has the month had enough variety?  What do you think?

Meeting @fadysporz on Soundcloud back in 2018 felt like a meeting of soulmates. There is a mutual respect for each other’s work and i wrote the track with room for Fadys heavenly synth work in mind and also with the idea that he joins Cindy and me in the vocal work. After completing my doctorate in composition in 1979 from UNT, I took 30 years off from composing to join the computer software revolution as a software engineer.  In 2010 I began composing again and have not stopped. So, I find myself beginning (restarting?) a composition career rather late in life...but that's OK.  Most of the works posted here were written since 2010.
