In the fall of 2003, a band emerged from the heart of Birmingham, UK known as 'Finishing Point'. The original members had all attended the same school and upon leaving, were about to embark on new paths. A call was made on the 6th September 2003 by founding member Edward, who had always wanted to form a metal band, to Dal, who was unaware that he was about to be asked to become the future drummer of a metal band. Dal unquestionably accepted the proposition as it was a lifelong dream of his, as was also Edward's. The next task was to appoint a bassist and it was from here that the two members decided to bring in another school friend to fulfil the position, who gladly accepted as he had also presented a keen interest in metal music. 

After serious discussions, it was decided that Edward would cover vocals, as well as guitars. Many songs were written in the coming months and slowly instruments were accumulated to accommodate their musical fusions. In late 2004, the band decided that the name 'Finishing Point' did not suit the type of music that they were creating which was thrash/death metal and not fashionable sub-genres that were circulating the scene at the time. Many names were discussed and the name 'Enraptured by Evil' was suggested by the bassist. However, this had already been used by the band 'Akercocke' as a song title. Therefore, the band then decided to shorten it to 'Enraptured' as it was more in keeping with the band's music and themes.
 
Unfortunately, a year later, the bassist departed from the band due to commitment issues. They then faced the dilemma of being without a bassist, so it was then that they decided to bring in another school friend, who accepted the position without hesitation. From then on, the band had gone from strength to strength, and created music that had become more technical and polished than previously. Due to this it was then decided that a dedicated vocalist was needed so the other members could concentrate on the music. It was here that the band called another school friend, who as a member went through many line-up changes such as first being a keyboardist, then a custom percussionist and then a vocalist. However in 2010, due to unforeseen circumstances, the vocalist and bassist also left the band due to commitment issues.
 
In 2011, the band recorded their first six-track demo titled 'Demo 1'. The demo contained songs that had been written by Edward with input from Dal. The band has currently recruited a new bassist named James, who is a friend and work colleague of Dal, and has similar musical tastes as well as an interest in playing the bass. The band has now started playing gigs since late 2013 and in February 2014 recorded 'Demo 2'. Unlike Demo 1 which was recorded live, it was tracked individually. The result was more polished and professional than the first and was more in keeping with the band's true sound. Both Demo's were recorded, mixed and engineered by Alex Cooper of Arkham Recording Studios, Birmingham.
