We’re stoked to present our next release SOMA Ep by Berlin fellow Abacilar. 

Abacilar is a Producer, Audio Engineer, Live act and Dj based in Berlin. His productions are based on digital models, inspired from his organic touch. He is driven to create an energetic atmosphere to deliver distinctive grooves, hypnotic leads and powerful bass lines. He thrives on taking the dance floor on a sonic journey where exists nothing but the resonances that take effect. 

SOMA is inspired by the recreational drug soma in Aldous Huxley's dystopian novel Brave New World. The government in the novel strongly encourages the population to take SOMA as a way to increase happiness and complacency. It can be taken as a pill or powder, can also be released as an aerosol, and is freely available to everyone. 
Its inclusion in the text is central to the novel’s themes of complacency and resistance in society, as well as the theme of escapism. 

"By this time the soma had begun to work. Eyes shone, cheeks were flushed, the inner light of universal benevolence broke out on every face in happy, friendly smiles.“

Heyyy guys, here's this months radio show for you. 

The mix starts with Nicole Moudaber’s latest release ‘I’ve Been Waiting For You’ on Eli Brown’s label, Arcane. I really like the labels direction at the moment — you’ll hear two more tracks from it later in the mix: Anna Reusch’s ‘Bounce’ and ‘Demons’ by Sian and Hiroko Yamamura.

I’ve included two of my own tracks this time— ‘Club of Extremes’ and ‘Serenity’ — I’m so happy they’re both finally out. I have been playing „Club of Extremes“ for so long. You’ll also hear an unreleased remix from me 👀

Closing this mix is Thomas Schumacher’s ‘Final Fantasy’ — it’s such a powerful, emotional anthem to finish any set - it reminds me of that classic Belgian trance sound I grew up on that is making such a big return right now.
