PROGRAM NOTE
Although I will probably never have an opportunity to travel through outer space, I often look up at the stars with wonderment, marveling at the vastness of the night sky, wishing I could have that experience. This work is my attempt to impart the sensation of what I think it might feel like to travel through the galaxy, and to give the feeling, through sound, of staring up at the star-filled sky on a quiet, clear night.

Music for everyone, music for others. A life against the current. No genre in music! It is too simplistic to give a genre to everything!! Music is an expression of human emotions and it is necessary to learn to understand humanity in its complexity.

Christiane Hommelsheim sings and plays on sound objects, Ralf Haarmann electronics and mandoline. With a central interest in loops, they create intertwined acoustic layers. Through the looper all sounds loose their corporality, they resolve within themselves, they appear and
disappear, they become soundfields, and soundshadows. Ocassionally a sentences might appear out of nowhere, and lingers unfinished in the space, like a piece of thought-furniture, that might develop within the ear of the listener before it retreats back out of focus. HAARMANNHOMMELSHEIM create poetics of absence, poetics of nothing.

This is a solo project made by Jan Lilleberg working, living and born in Oslo, Norway. It`s used all kinds of midi synths, acoustic instruments, voices and samples. I started as a drummer back in 1978 and been playing in dozens of bands, jams and different styles and types of music since mid 80ies. Today I make music with two Oslo based projects Ramb-ooh! Productions and Rocket Eye. I`ve got two solo projects this one and http://soundcloud.com/sonarm360. All music and lyrics are composed and written by Jan Lilleberg. Recorded and performed by Jan Lilleberg alone and with friends. None of the tracks are mastered in a mastering studio. Have fun and enjoy.

The music industry (like many things) has changed greatly since I bought my first 45 record (Green Eyed Lady) at my hometown record shop in 1970. It would be very easy to lament over these changes (and I have.) Paterson’s colorful music embraces a wide variety of themes, everything from goddesses and online dating to mathematics and the environment. His music is filled with emotion and fierce rhythmic energy, marked by elegance, wit, and meticulous craftsmanship. Named Composer of The Year by the Classical Recording Foundation at Carnegie Hall, Paterson is the winner of the Alfred I. DuPont Award, and his opera Three Way won the Grammy® under Best Classical Producer of the Year. His music is often a Best of the Year pick on National Public Radio.
