Icaro Sessions is the project from Radamant & McTo, which was created with lots of love and inspirational sessions in the studio. The album can be described as a combination of downtempo, ambient, trip hop, dub & jazz elements with ethane & world music influences.

With the Ibiza summer season just getting underway, the timing couldn't be better for this debut album from Radamant and McTo, which has 'Balearic' stamped through it like a stick of rock. 'Icaro Sessions' contains all three of the publicity-shy duo's previous three singles for Kraak - the Spanish guitar-flecked, Middle Eastern-tinged 'Camel Caravane Dance Moves', the headnoddin', skunked-out 'Dub Foggy Thoughts' and the dreamy late-night radiance of 'Footprints In The Sky' - and suffice to say if you were digging any of those, the full-length they come from should prove equally satisfactory. From the haunted Massive Attack-isms of 'Bad Spirits Go Away' to the soft focus ambience of 'Forest Brain' and the Morricone-esque 'Happy People Riding Horses', it's a downtempo lover's delight.

Composé autour d’une conversation entre mon père et moi, capturée par hasard il y a 25 ans sur une VHS lors d’une soirée d’observation des étoiles filantes, l’album explore le souvenir, la transmission et notre rapport au temps. Il plonge l’auditeur·ice dans l’intimité du cocon familial, la naïveté de l’enfance et la tendresse d’un père face à l’infiniment grand.

Aujourd’hui, si on lève les yeux vers la constellation de la Lyre et que l’on observe son étoile la plus brillante, Alpha Lyrae, nous la voyons telle qu’elle était il y a 25 ans, au moment où je partageais cet instant de complicité avec mon père.

Built around a conversation with my father, accidentally recorded 25 years ago on a VHS during a night of stargazing, the album explores memory, transmission, and our relationship with time. It draws the listener into the warmth of family, the innocence of childhood, and a father’s tenderness before the vastness of the universe.

When we look up at the Lyra constellation today and spot its brightest star, Alpha Lyrae, we’re seeing it as it was 25 years ago, the very moment I shared that special bond with my father.
