For the second release on Frits Wentink’s new Bobby Donny label, he hands over to San2, aka Geert Schilder.

Hailing from Eindhoven in the south of the Netherlands, Schilder takes his production name from the building which houses his studio, on the second floor of the SAN building where the legendary radios and tape recorders were built by Philips.  With this in mind, it seems to follow suit that his music is mainly produced with analog techniques, incorporating equipment like the Roland TR-606, SH-101, SBX-1 and AKAI MPC 2000XL. 

The EP opens with the title track, ‘Impartial Perspective’ with its marching beat gradually forming into a machine groove that’s raw and funk-fuelled.  Moving on to San2’s second track, ‘Distinguishing Bias’ sits perfectly alongside the kind of wonky house manoeuvres that Frits is also known for.

And talking of Mr. Wentink, the EP also includes his remix of ‘Impartial Perspective’, which twists up the original into a deep and trippy, lo-fi journey, while still maintaining the raw groove of the original.

The South African born Daniela Niederer is one of those musical miracles that only appear very rarely on the music landscape. Based on her extended world tours, she continuously picks up impressions from her wide audience from all over the globe to blend those impressions and fresh ideas into her distinctive music.

Daniela is one of those rare producers who are able to combine beautiful melodies, pumping beats and clubby drops, but still got her music filed under deep house and nu disco.
U GOT MY BODY was part of her successful EP "Into the Wild" we released in early June this year. The track reached beatport Top15 overall and No.2 of the deep house genre. The radio version collected, next to countless fm airplays, over 1 million plays on spotify already and growing.
We thought this track deserves a separate treatment with some brand new remixes. 

Our in house buddy CEDRIC ZEYENNE delivers a hot club rework. Cedric took advantage of the spacious pads and the touching atmosphere and turned his version of the track into a perfect late night weapon.

Deep Beneath #1 with Sahar Z Recorded Live from Aria Lounge TLV

In contrast to the approach I took with my last studio mix, "Intuition (#055)," I decided to take this on from a calculated approach relying on reason rather than feeling. The mixes I respect and enjoy listening to the most are stylistically varied, so for this mix (not unlike most of my mixes) I aimed for an output that achieves the same, balancing lush vs stripped, angry vs delicate, synthesized vs organic, serious vs quirky.

The fun challenge of assembling a mix in this fashion is finding a way to weave through those various sounds without sounding jarring or schizophrenic. I believe if that's achieved, then the end result is an hour of music that can be listened to over and over again, staying fresh, and in rare cases, approaches timelessness.

I've been on tour these last few weeks spending quite a bit of time in planes, trains, and automobiles with lots of time to listen to this mix over and over. Obviously I'm heavily biased since I'm choosing only music that I love, but I'm just now getting sick of it after roughly my 20th listen. I hope you'll find this mix worth at least one.

After housing his debut album and latest EP, SW Recordings returns with opus no. 3 from label head and Church co-boss, Seb Wildblood. U (SW003) takes shape as a six-track cassette, on which 100% Silk associate James Booth also makes an appearance. Our track of choice is the penultimate "Bonsai Care", with its slow-rolling melodies and grounding drum kicks steadily carrying us through ~6.5 minutes of synth-layered laid-back-ness.

U (SW003) drops on cassette form and digitally on February 12th.

His 3rd outing for the label is a deep and dubby affair but with a musicality and rhythm thats going to make this one popular with a wide range of djs.  Comprised of 4 originals  -  ‘Song for new’ opens the Right Path to Pray EP with  a heaven sent message setting the theme for things to come.
We are greeted with the  most angelic of vocal licks harmoniously placed alongside a devastatingly playful bass line and kick drum, the subtle twists and turns that roll effortlessly from this track are something people familiar of Liam’s work will already know he can execute with flair. 
Right path picks up with an infectious skip and a kick drum that will let any system know what’s up. Cleverly programmed and with an ear for details Right Path ebb's and weaves into a euphoric hazy dance floor bomb.
Pray to watch is trademark Liam, with his insatiable  mix of driving sonics pushing his perfectly swung house beats. It's not often you find such refinement in such a young producer. Which leads us to So many needs Liam’s return to his dusty house styling’s, and after his previous B2s this one lives up to expectation,  this is baby making music, warm luscious music, think hazy sunny days surrounded with your best people, you get the drift.
