R3hab & Deorro - Flashlight (Original Mix) Available March 10th, 2014

So here's my remix to Light's And Thunder. 

There's many things about this remix.
I brought in a bunch of the older Ton!c sounds but every single lead you hear in the drop (except the sawtooth dutch lead and the krewella vocal) are all my voice. So the process of the sound design was a bit longer than usual. There's another big room drop with a progressive feel to it. I also recorded myself clapping, and doing a couple other loops you'll hear in the full track. 

Now the ending was what i was excited to do. 
I've always loved reggae, and ive been wanting to add it to some of my tracks.
So i picked up my guitar, put together some drum samples i recorded, added some more of my vocals recorded on my iphone, whipped up a vintage sounding organ, brought in the melody i used for the progressive drop with a lead that was also created with my voice, and tried to make the whole piece sound like an actual reggae band. The trick was blending it all smoothly and come together so it works. So i hope you guys dig it!

also, the reggae doesn't come in that soon, there's a full minute outro before that comes in, this was just an edit i did for preview.

I made this show using my Pioneer CDJ's like i always do, not on Ableton or any kind of mixing software..i always try to mix as creatively as possible and as if i'm in a club scenario, chopping up tracks a bit quicker etc. If you've seen me DJ'ing in a club anywhere over the last few years you'll know that this show is a true reflection of what i'm all about as a DJ, i really wanted this special show to reflect that. I've poured my heart & soul into it so i really hope you enjoy it as much as i did mixing it!

DJ Robert Gitelman (jun 1st 1972) began his career at the age of 14. after 3 years he began his residency in one of the biggest clubs in Israel, the “Computer”, ever since Robert played in every club in Israel. In Radio 99 fm, the biggest radio station in Israel for dance music, Robert got a weekly club show and hosted the biggest names in the world like: DJ Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Benjamin Bates, M.I.K.E (Push), armin van buuern, DJ Scot Project, DJ Wag, Erik Morello, Marco v, Phats and Small, Christian Froot, DJ Taucher, Misja Helsloot, DJ Montana, Talla and many many more. After his show’s success The biggest record label in Israel "Phonokol" asked Robert to compile and mix his very own club trance compilation series called “club99” and after a massive success Phonokol decided to make another series called “party line”. Playing in all major clubs in the Netherlands like: iT, Escape, Dance salon, Mastertheatre; in the UK, Ibiza, Cyprus and more, Robert proved his talent not only in Israel but worldwide. After a while Robert decided to produce his own music and started to produce some experimental underground dance music. The first track that was signed was "DJ Robert & The Party freaks – Going up" (1996 Rhythm Import). Together with his recent partner, Jaron Martinez, Robert produced the track “Dreaming about Paprika” which rocked every chart in the world and got into the “love parade” compilation. Together with Jaron, Robert produced under theese name variations: G&M Project, 2Players, Robert Gitelman, Jaron inc., Bamba Boys and DJ Robert & the Martinez bros. . The first massive breakthrough in the Dutch market was the anthem “Feeling the sunrise” under the name “G&M Project” (siged at "ID&T").
