Born and raised in the industrial suburbs of Turin, Stenny earned recognition in the last decade as both an accomplished producer and DJ. Exploring club culture and sound art, his journey has been one of constant research and reinvention, avoiding trends and the demands of contemporary music consumption while embracing the slower and more deliberate nature of his craft. 

Stenny’s work traverses the full electronic music landscape. Whether embracing new narrative structures and compositional experiments or consolidating the immediacy of a dancefloor-oriented project, each release marks a point of departure. Familiar yet constantly shifting, his sonic language remains identifiable within the experimental techno spectrum but expands beyond genre boundaries. 

Currently based in Munich, Stenny is an Ilian Tape affiliate and a Blitz Club resident. His artistic expression consists mostly of DJ sets and live performances. Fearless in his approach, he ventures through his broad range of musical influences with spontaneity and control, committed to creating an ever-unique and immersive experience.

Swiss DJ/Producer Audrey Danza debuts for the Bassiani Podcast series with an hour and a half of her own music, composed mostly of her unreleased tracks as well as a few exciting collaborations. From tripped-out techno, to house and trance bent rhythms, this mix shows that Audrey’s course has been nothing short of impressive, from Geneva and now Berlin. Since her intro to the local scene back in 2019, she’s racked up a residency at multidisciplinary event space Motel Campo, played clubs from Panorama Bar to Circoloco to Robert Johnson and Fabric, and, as a means of rereleasing lost 80-90s records at first (and now her own productions as well), kicked off her label Proxima in 2020. She’s also been active in the world of Berlin nightlife, where she relocated since 2022, with frequent collabs with the Sound Metaphors family, from party series to collaborations around her label. On top of a busy schedule and a growing pile of remixes and from the ground up productions, Audrey stays the course. Her sound is a fusion of industrial beats and percussions, acid, 90s synths house, self-aware and constantly cross-referencing to sculpt a fleshed out world of sound that’s psychedelic and deeply immersive. Bassiani Podcast 268 is a signature mix of warped transmissions and assembly line beats, a gradual burn and sharp ascent to peak-time techno compiled by a leading light of the Swiss electronic music scene.  Nothing but Audrey: a full set of her own sounds, start to finish.

For the next edition of the Transmissions mix series, it's a great pleasure to share a barnstorming session from DJ TOOL. Over 2.5 hrs, we have him doing what he does best, closing things out in the early hours to a packed room. A set full of psychedelic power, a set for the ages, records mixed with laser precision which shaped the room, the system and the moment.

Transmission 002 - DJ TOOL

From the Morevi Records night at Horoom on June 13th comes this next instalment in the series. In a little over a decade, Separat has proved his mettle behind decks in his hometown Aachen, current base Cologne and other places like Gewölbe, Tresor or Openground. His sound has been instrumental in the local scene, a true underground talent and one of the heads behind Brandwerk. His press presence is fairly light, and a keen focus on his sound the most critical part of his work: groovy, immersive and playful. Fun through and through, with tones and charging rhythms which are designed for dancing the night away. This month's mix for Electronic Convergence is a shout out to the golden age of techno music - the late nineties - featuring classic tracks from legendary producers Jeff Mills, Ben Sims, Marco Carola and User. I started DJing and buying records in 1996 and remember when these tracks came out and the hype surrounding labels such as Axis, Purpose Maker, Theory, Question and User. I never get sick of playing and listening to these records.
