Captured straight from the studio — a slow-burning, symphonic dive into darker sonic territories. Lower BPM (than other occasions), denser atmospheres, and a heightened sense of drama shape this session, deeply influenced by recent days spent in Berlin.

Expect heavy textures, glacial rhythms, and immersive layers of noise unfolding with cinematic tension and raw emotional weight.

Captured straight from the studio — a high-intensity dive into fast-paced techno terrains.
This session pushes BPMs past 140, embracing straight kicks, dynamic structures, and a more refined approach to sound design.

Coming from a background rooted in experimental percussion and complex rhythmic systems, surrendering to the pulse of techno took time — but this set dives deep into that negotiation.
Repetition meets tension. Structure meets distortion.

Expect driving rhythms, evolving textures, and densely layered transitions — all shaped by years of sonic exploration and a growing fascination with the language of live techno performance.

Note: Still fine-tuning the visual setup — camera, framing, and quality are all part of an ongoing process. There’s a certain love for lo-fi in there too. Things will keep evolving, slowly but surely.

This session marks the closing chapter of my 2025 Asia tour — a one-take live set captured in the heart of Chengdu’s vibrant underground scene.

Compared to previous studio sessions, this one leans further into modular interconnections for my synths. LFOs take center stage, pushing grooves in and out of phase, introducing micro-instabilities and unexpected drift.
Rhythm remains central, but it’s constantly bending — shaped by pulses more than grids.

The result is a tense, high-velocity journey through club-focused structures and raw sonic gestures.
Controlled chaos. Friction. Forward momentum.

Big thanks to the CDCR crew for the energy and warmth. A perfect finale to an intense month on the road.

Roberto Maqueda identifies himself as a heterodox artist operating in the spheres of experimental art, electronic music, and club culture. He is based in Basel. As a percussionist, he has taken up the art of drumming to a new level by applying engineering and sound automation to rhythms and building systems that revolve around the integration of separately performing acoustic and electronic music studios.

In the club scene, his techno alias Mitospora merges club sounds with sonic experimentation, navigating the boundary between underground and noise. Mitospora transforms raw energy into a shared experience—where dance and deep listening converge.

He co-directs FOG Festival (Basel) and previously co-directed EXIT Festival (Montevideo). He also headed reConvert, now the studio that produces his projects. He has been at such festivals as SONICA, Indigo, Manifeste, SPOR or MaerzMusik.
