This edition of the Innerflight podcast showcases house and acid legend, DJ Spun!  The mix is pure old-school dopeness and traverses house and disco roads with the flair and fire that Spun has been known to bring since the ol' days.  We're honored to have him play a 3-hour set at this month's Drop at the Monkey Loft on Saturday November 12th 2016.  We'll also be celebrating the birthday of Innerflight resident, Kadeejah Streets, with a set from the birthday boy as well as J-Sun and Night Train.  We goin' hard in the paint for this one...

Innerflight Podcast 70: The News From Brooklyn on Nov 5th 2016 by DJ Spun

I come from a small town in the countryside of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Where I come from there was no electronic music at all , so when I started DJing, if I wanted to listen to it I had to travel for 3 hours to Sao Paulo but even then I couldn’t get into the clubs as I was only 14 years old.
It feels absolutely SURREAL that I’m now writing this post to tell you my Essential Mix is coming this Saturday on @bbcradio1 at 1AM (Friday night) ! The Essential Mix for me was always a way to learn about new music and find inspirations from the best in electronic music. 
It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, you can achieve anything you want in life, you are the only one who can set limits for yourself. Follow your dreams and do everything with LOVE. 🙏🏼❤️
For my Essential Mix I've chosen tracks from artists who inspired me since I've been playing for these almost 20 years, also some of my own tracks that had a big impact in my career and some unreleased stuff from myself as well! I really hope you enjoy the journey
