Spent some time New Year's Eve sharing intuitive improvisations with a friend on cello.  Wilson is somewhat new to this instrument and this recording is of our first explorations.  Lessons of the beauty possible when we are open to it.

This lovely capture reminds me to get back into the flow. It is time to gracefully let go of what did not work for me last year - to open myself to the possibilities of what is to come.

I do enjoy the innate rhythm of this particular piece.  It is named after an island in Lake Winnipesaukee (New Hampshire) that I enjoyed visiting during my Summers there.

I recently had an opportunity to play a Symphonic Steel handpan in Sapphire tuning.  A lovely and expressive instrument and this scale seems to fit the build nicely.  Enjoy this capture of my explorations.

Earlier in the day, I felt an incredibly strong call to play.   My only choice was to surrender despite the list of things I needed to do.  So, I instinctively piked up my little recorder then the ole Db Mystic SPB.  

Sometimes beauty can come about only when we learn to surrender to it's call.  What's 10 minutes out of my day?  This lesson I learned today.
