With a musical background stemming from everything but electronic music, expect the unexpected when it comes to her sets. You’ll hear influences from punk, Motown, jazz, hip hop, shoegaze, rock.Her inspiration knows no bounds.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit and now a proper city resident of ten years. Detroit is ingrained in her and she is representing the birthplace of techno from a point of view focused on recognizing and sharing the rich musical and cultural history of the city, while simultaneously pushing the status quo and breaking boundaries of what electronic music is "supposed" to be.

About the mix:
This is a one-take, all-vinyl mix focusing on my collection of '90s/'00s hardgroove and rave records, with a few modern records included. I wanted to keep things simple with just two turntables and a basic mixer. Real old school shit. I feel like it transports you back in time to a warehouse or basement rave where there weren't any bells or whistles, trendy tricks or social media. But it's cool because, despite many of these tracks being 20, even 30 years old, the sounds still feel relevant and bangin' for today.

140 vinyl set, mostly tunes from my trip to the UK digging for dubplates for my 40th birthday this year. Specifically at Planet Wax in LDN (Bigup Lewis and Dexta), Collector Cave (Bigup Ami, Guy and Ollie) and Shall Not Fade (Bigup Bailey) in Bristol and DNR Vinyl in Croydon (Bigup Dan). Bigup my homie Jon for the We Are IE rekkid that just showed up in my mailbox. Last tune is an original production by myself and Andre Orcutt, dubplate lathe cut on a vinyl recorder by Lewis at Planet Wax. Bigups to Slimzee who had me down to Rinse FM up there in Hoxton for his set while I was visiting - respect.

Ooga's Cave Vol. 2 [2024 unreleased mix]

I was asked to DJ at The Rendezvous under a new alias that I have been conceptualizing for quite some time. Although I was unprepared on the production side, I could not pass up the opportunity to play alongside some of my good friends & earliest influences.

Setting a meaningful tone for the entire festival weekend felt challenging yet perfect for where I want this project to go: a return to the roots of how we all got here through the vessel of golden age trip-hop & electronica. More importantly, I wanted to blend rustic gems with newer dancefloor-centric downtempo tracks that have been fueling my curiosity. Stepping on stage & getting to showcase my current & all-time favorite songs, those formative to my personal music journey & @satellite_era as a growing entity, was truly a dream come true. 

I cannot emphasize how grateful I am to have been part of this transformative experience. Endless love to Tipper & The Rendezvous team for all the work they put in to make this event happen - everything was perfect from start to finish. What a privilege it was to play music at the legendary Suwannee amphitheater! I also got to reconnect with so many beautiful humans from around the country after years of sharing this community. A huge shoutout to my brother @relativitylounge for taking this adventure on with me - playing club music together at a renegade in the campsite until 7 AM is something I will never forget.
