Cloaked under a bright gold bird-like mask, Claptone travels the world playing shows while picking up new fans at each stop along the way. His productions have become the talk of the town with praise being tossed around by everyone from Pete Tong and DJ Sneak to A-Trak. Hit output for the esteemed Exploited imprint in 2012, kicking off with the infection “Cream,” started the revolution gaining top ten honors on the Beatport chart. Since that release Claptone has gone from strength to strength. “Wrong”, “Night On Fire”, “Good To You” and "No Eyes" being prime examples.

All three tracks on this EP were actually made for the Âme live show, but at the end it turned out that we used them in our DJ sets too. 
Due to the great feedback we decided to put them on a 12-inch accompanying the Âme Live CD. Karl Hyde and James Lavelle on one 12-inch should be something for a lad's paradise and even 'Enoi' sounds brighter than before.

From "Underground Wobble"

In 2005, the album Wave Digger paves the way for two years of tour in France and worldwide, multiplying encounters and collaborations (Wangtone with Wang Lei, Zentone with Zenzile, Re-Processed remixed by their mates) and diffusing their tribal electro-dub, blending heavy breaked bassline and nervous scratches. They come back in 2007 with "Underground Wobbles" : their fourth opus seems more calm, far from Jungle, Hip Hop, Electronica or Dub experimentations, typical of Wave Digger. Entering more downtempos spheres, machines and programmation left space for instruments. Narrative and often complex compositions absorb the listener in a psychedelic and misty trip (Understellar, Round Trip...), highly-seasoned here and there by nervous and fickle tracks (Freakency, Ask The Dust, Speed 110).

As far as harmonies and melodies are concerned, they evolved too, taking High Tone to a sound more accomplished than ever, recognizable anywhere, possessed by teeming influences... To cut a long story short, with his so personnal style, High Tone mixes with a disconcerting talent electronic musics, ethnic samples and surgical scratches. Underground Wobble assert itself as the cornerstone of the works, in constant evolution, of a group tirelessly guided by clearing up new horizons, by the opening of new ways, with as line of sight the willing to never paraphrase oneself. That state of mind is the privilege of the great and the good.

Isolated melodies drift ever closer to the beat to evoke a sense of melancholy with the opening title track ‘Treibholz’. Gracefully building throughout, ‘Treibholz’ is a downtempo treasure to keep for those somber moments as spring struggles to shake off winter.

‘Treibhaus’ is an embracing and emotionally haunting track that lingers within the heart. Persistent vocals create the narrative of this track and resonate against idle synth chords to create ideas of insecurity. A beautifully disturbing track with a lot of heart that is sure to reach out to a lot of people.

The EP also features two remixes to help put the finishing touches on this successful debut EP. MPathy’s remix of ‘Treibhaus’ is progressive affair that lifts you high and beyond the clouds. The second remix comes from Antonio Olivieri. The remix takes a more direct and driven take on ‘Treibholz’ and yet still manages to keep the clarity of sounds that the original holds so well.
