Mark Dufrene is a musician/songwriter based way down south in Southern Louisiana (45 miles south of New Orleans). He plays in local bars and restaurants as well as private parties and other various events. Mark's musical journey began when he was 8 years old when his parents bought him a 3/4 size acoustic guitar. 

Initially, he disliked playing guitar. It wasn't until his father, Patrick, sat him down, cranked up his in-home stereo, and let him take in some rock classics that he became transfixed on music. When Mark was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, a neurological disorder, at the age of 9, music became a safe-haven for him--as Mark puts it, "music is a sort of quiet in the storm of life". Since then he has recorded several songs and performed in a number of states in the US as well as out of the country in places including Jamaica and Mexico.

Mark's main goal in playing music is to connect with others and make some kind of positive difference in their lives.
