It's one a.m. on Friday night, and I'm sitting on the floor in a beautiful massive teepee at Mycelium Festival. A fire warms the center of the space, and friends are circled around, lying on blankets and pillows as the Serendipity Tea Lounge serves tea, and it's such a viiiiibe.

I have no idea where we are going to go. I don't know what I'm going to play. I close my eyes and let the music take us.

Following her first solo outing and years of experience as one half of the well-regarded Husky project, Ukrainian DJ and producer ALIIRA returns with a confident new step forward. 

Her Escucha EP on Zatar brings together two original tracks and two standout remixes, showcasing both her evolving solo voice and her deep roots in the club landscape.

The title track “Escucha” is a vibrant, punchy, electro-leaning house cut built around infectious vocal chops and crisp percussion. It’s a track that balances energy with clarity, direct and effective, but never overworked. 

Danish producer NILU (DK) and Zatar Labelhead Phonique take the reins on the remix, flipping the track into a more angular and urgent, sharp and edgy rework that leans into tension and groove, tailored for peak-time play.

The second track, “Devi”, dives into warmer, more hypnotic tech house territory. Its rolling rhythm and subtly layered melodies are joined by processed guitar textures, lending the track a slightly psychedelic edge without losing its forward drive. 

London based producer Urmet K strips down the track to its abosulte essentials to create a trippy, grooving house cut for the summer.

The tenth edition of the microcastle podcast welcomes label artist MUUI back for his second showcase. The Berlin based producer is coming off his second project for us entitled 'Seminal'. Released in February, the four track EP featured another diverse selection of music, earning support from John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo,  Guy J, Sasha, Nick Warren, Guy Mantzur, Agents of Time, Third Son, Stephan Bodzin, Gardens of God and many more. 

For the tenth edition of our podcast we've chosen a live show of MUUI's from a recent gig at S.A.S.H in Sydney, Australia. Comprised of all his own originals, showcased are six brand new, unheard tracks along with live / alternate versions of his Bengal remix, 'Placid', 'Hide Seek', 'Clouds', 'Touch', 'Taet' and ending  in gorgeous fashion with 'Vrijeme'. It was Sunday opening night on the Playa, excitement was in the air as new burn was upon us, some had just arrived some had been setting up for weeks, once that heart lit up we all knew where to go.   Robot Heart has been a source of inspiration for me, in fact the track I opened with “Unity” was inspired by my experience at Robot Heat way back in 2012, my first burn.  The other unusual sounds you are hearing are recordings from the rainforest of Indonesia and Gamelan rhythms from Bali island where I spend much time.  The Rainforest’s of Indonesia are very close to my heart and we do a lot with our Rainforest Pavilion initiative to protect these wonders.   To be included into the Robot Heart family and invited to play is a great honor, the experience lived up to everything I could have hoped for.  Magic is the only word I can use to describe playing and swaying back and forth on that giant illuminated beautiful creation known as the Robot Heart Bus.  1000 thank you’s to Robot Heart for bringing something amazing to the Playa and stepping it up every year for 10 years.  Can’t wait to see you all again.
